I booked here for a quiet little get-away and it was exactly that! The "church" Inn was set up with several choices of places to relax, both inside and outside my guest room. When I awoke in the morning, my first sight was the beautiful set of stained-glass windows, which perfectly set the mood for my day. Next was the smell of cinnamon, which turned out to be stuffed french toast which was being served for breakfast. It was delicious!! As an added treat, Lisa (the hostess) packed a picnic lunch for later while exploring the city. She had thought of everything, including zip lock bags for any leftovers. And there's even a refrigerator to store items in until you're ready for them. Everything about this Inn was well thought out to make it a comfortable place to relax (garden tub, robes, white noise machine, books, water dispenser). If you love wood like I do, you will love the grand wooden staircase and railings. And there are stained-glass windows everywhere, adding to the beauty of the place! Outside, I enjoyed the two little gardens that were, while right in the middle of a residential area, amazingly quiet. Parking was great and entry was set up for ease. And as an added bonus, there is a staircase to the roof, where you can see "all" of St. Louis! In the daylight, I especially liked seeing the Arch, and at night, the "city lights!" And the hosts were the most delightful couple ... very friendly and concerned about my comfort.
