Very Good

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The price has gone up, the service is a little friendly, the room is good, but the view is not enough, and the price/performance ratio is worse than before. This time in the summer, it’s nice to be able to swim.

We stayed only one night in this beautiful chateau, and later wished we had stayed for several days. It is an amazing experience, thanks to the wonderful staff and a superb chef. We highly recommend spending some time here; you will be delighted!

Stayed one night with a friend also had a dinner in the hotel restaurant. I found the place very charming. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and I had a very good sleep. The dinner in the restaurant of the chateau is a must in my opinion. All the dishes were exceptionally well prepared. And no need to say that the wine recommended was very very good. I hope to be back.

What a gem out in the Burgundy countryside. We were a walking tour group of 8 and stayed for 2 nights. The grounds, pool, rooms, food and service were wonderful. Enjoyed our lovely room which was a corner suite. The only critique I have is allowing dogs inside all the areas, especially the dining room. I didn't appreciate having dogs loudly barking and growling during dinner. I also now wonder if the hotel allows dogs in all sleeping areas or if there is a set of rooms for guests with animals. Thank you

This was the fairy tale Chateau- tall beautiful towers, sweeping drives and gardens, perfect lawns and fountains- but then it was backed up by a ‘fairy tale experience’. As we arrived at the hotel car park I thought we had crashed someone’s wedding- there were ladies In beautiful dresses and gents in casual/smart wear wandering around the inner courtyard sipping cocktails. It turned out after a warm welcome by the hotel greeter who took our bags, that this was no wedding, but merely the cocktail party for all guests that is held every evening at 6-7pm. With a three piece live band playing classical & easy listening music, free cocktails & canapés from the endless trays of attentive waiters, we wandered around the grounds of this stunning , very grand hotel , and mingled with the other guests - and yes we felt like guests at a very posh wedding. Not bad on Thursday evening on trip down to the South of France. Also worth a mention was the restaurant- a Michelin mentioned restaurant- such incredible beautiful food delivered by waiters & sommeliers who attentive but not hanging around. The chef here really deserves a Michelin star such was the gorgeous food- the views from the large windows are also worth a mention - across the lawns and down to the lake. Stunning. But perhaps the highest praise is for the staff - from the manager to the receptionist - they were so friendly , helping to sort out any problems, all spoke English very well and were generally charming. The room we had was large - high ceilings and windows and with a lovely bathroom and a view of the lake. Definitely will return again

We had an amazing stay here @ this Chateau. Special compliments & kudos to out to Phillip & his team who we found were in their feet & spared no effort to make our stay comfortable. We were initially not v happy with our room but once wifi was restored, found that it had a super charming view of the Chateauneuf at a distance. This was lit up at the night. Philip would not hesitate to drop off food for my husband when he was unwell to come down for dinner one evening & went out of their way to accommodate every request.
Response from Property: Dear Madam, we are pleased to read your beautiful comment on our Château ! Philippe Parra and all the team are delighted to read your comment. The view of the Châteauneuf Castle is inevitable when staying in Sainte Sabine. It will be a pleasure to wlecome you again in Sainte Sabine or in Levernois.

A beautiful chateau but so disappointing as a place to stay. A handsome large air conditioned room with comfortable bed but everything felt sterile. The pool was terrible - squashed into a corner very few sun beds and only two umbrellas with a temperature of 36 degrees, the whole thing penned in like a pony paddock. The restaurant felt corporate and uninspiring, a cross between a golf club and a funeral parlour. Very inflexible menu, poor food, slimy chicken, everything very repetitious. We did not bother with pudding. Breakfast OK and generous but no one guidiing the offering. Thé muesli was mixed up with cornflakes and possibly chocolate chips. Terrace furniture and crockery cheap and old fashioned. corporate. A comfortable bed and bathroom but a lack of spirit. Expensive. Would not recommend.

we arrived with a dog to be put at the top of the turret via a spiral staircase, not the most suitable with a dog which they new was checking in Asked for gin and tonic with cucumber at 5.15 to sit on the terrace but unfortunately they only had lemon as the kitchen did not open until 5.30! We looked across at a very stagnant lake. not the best view the restsurant atmosphere less and frankly dull. The menu gastronomic was dull tasteless and boring, cheese board was possible the best we left without coffee as we had four pods in our basically grim room with single beds not a place to recommend

Wonderful place to stay. Staff very friendly, and put up with our attempts at French and encouraged us to speak it. They helped us plan our days and made excellent suggestions. Setting is magnificent, fulfilling one's dreams of actually staying in a chateau with manured lawns, beautiful public rooms and lovely outdoor seating. Having breakfast on the outdoor terrace overlooking the pond, hills and beautiful Burgundy landscape is magic. One of best places we have stayed at.

This is well restored chateau in a peaceful setting. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Staff are warm and professional, always willing to assist. The food and service at breakfast and dinner was excellent. We used it as a base for 3 days exploring northern Burgundy—the most beautiful area of France.

We were most impressed by our night at Chateau Sabine. It is situated in a lovely village looking out over a lake to farmlands beyond. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with glorious views. We had an excellent dinner including escargots and poulet de bresse. The service throughout was outstanding and we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later!

We loved our stay here. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the time we left. A beautiful property, gorgeous room with a view, a lovely restaurant and bar. This lived up to all of the reviews we read. Exceptional. We will return.

We enjoyed a delightful stay here, the Château is stunning and set in beautiful surroundings. The pool was a lovely way to relax and cool down. We also had dinner here and I would highly recommend the restaurant, the food was superb and the staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend this place you will definitely not be disappointed.
