The lunch is great in a gorgeous setting. The staff could be more attentive, but overall the waitering is good and professional. For meribel the prices are not bad and the desserts are delicious. The place is kept very clean and the view is just amazing. They have a lovely petting farm for goats which is great.

I would like to undersrand how can it be that the same room that was 520 euros for the same period in 2020 is now 1740 euros. Then, breakfast included. Now, also dinner included. Is dinner 1220 euros for two nights? 610 euros per dinner? What is going on?

We live in the valley and had visited La Traye many times in its previous incarnation and watched the new “refuge” on our walks as it was constructed but today was the first time we had managed to have lunch here. Our stop was close to perfect. We are vegetarian so diots and squid (set manu, that changes daily) were not for us but they rustled us up the most delicious omelette, fries and green salad followed by tiramisu and tarte myrtille and coffee (which was very good, not always the case in French restaurants, whatever the calibre). We were seated upstairs in a little sitting room all to ourselves, which was just wonderful. Everything about the decor is fantastic, such care has been taken. It is faultless. As for the service, this was delightful. We have found our new go to restaurant in the Méribel Valley. You can walk to it from Les Allues or Villard and earn your lunch or ski in and out but touring kit is required.

We stayed for 5 night at the Refuge as a family, the Edelweiss suite was a beautiful and spacious chalet, very comfortable to accommodate us and our two children. The location of the Refuge is one of a kind, it sit on the beautiful setting, with it magnificent view. All the stuff was very friendly and they will do extra miles to makes your stay super comfortable. Not to mentioned the mouthwatering meals we had everyday at their family setting restaurant. I loves every details they put in their chalet, as well the thoughtful activities they have prepared for the kids and the adults. We have stayed in many beautiful hotels, and Refuge de la Traye is our most favourite so far :-)

Nous n'avons pas testé l' hôtel mais seulement le restaurant. L' endroit est magnifique. Les installations tout aussi superbes. Personnel accueillant et efficace. Cuisine délicieuse. Une tarte à la mangue à tomber! Mais j ai eu le sentiment que les autres pâtisseries étaient aussi bonnes! Le petit café chaise longue face à la montagne...divin.

Une petite heure de marche pour l atteindre Le paysage est magnifique L ‘acceuil est bon Le menu a un prix correct en montagne et surtout les produits sont bons ( beignets de fleur de courgette, filet de daurade, tarte pistache framboise) MAIS j ai pas apprécié le : « je vous sers un petit digestif, c est du yuzu un peu comme le Limoncello….. » limoncello que l on vous offre généralement dans les resto…. ICI facturé 15 euros par personne DOMmAGE !!!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel, au delà de nos attentes. Le lieu est magique, l’ambiance est familiale et sympathique. Tout était parfait. La cuisine, orchestrée par Dominique et Marie-Amélie, est des plus succulentes. Le chef Dominique a élaboré chaque jour des plats délicieux adaptés à nos goûts et envies. La cheffe pâtissière nous a régalé, notamment avec son dessert signature, le Mont Blanc ! Les serveurs sont d’une gentillesse et d’une attention rares… nous avons aussi eu la chance d’aller au spa dont les soins sont juste parfaits ! Les activités, organisées par Olivier, sont merveilleuses ! Rando, VTT, accrobranche, ont rhymes nos journées ! On repart avec un sentiment de bien être, de sérénité et de joie… comme l’impression d’être partis à l’autre bout du monde tout en étant comme à la maison ! Merci et bravo à l’équipe !

Quelle expérience incroyable. Des les premières minutes l’équipe prend les choses en main. Et voilà vous vous sentez comme à la maison. Les chambres et le service sont tout simplement incroyables. Un spa à la hauteur du lieu. Et lorsqu’il s’agit de passer à table, alors la c’est l’apothéose !! Merci chef, merci Olivier et merci à toute l’équipe pour ces merveilleux moments passés en votre compagnie. On reviendra c’est sur.

Excellent restaurant dans un cadre magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée. Les plats, élaborés à partir de produits de qualités, sont délicieux et copieux. Le service est professionnel, rapide et efficace. Personnel fort sympathique, souriant et aux petits soins, tout ce que l'on aime. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant unique en son genre. Nous reviendrons. Pensez à réservez à l'avance.
