Hotel Olympus Palace

WOW what a hotel. Absolutely fantastic mid week break away. We went Bed and Breakfast. Room is small but perfect. Beautiful bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer and fluffy towels. Comfy Beds. Opposite the walkway to the main ***** and beach which is only a 5 minute walk away. Did not hear a sound at night, so peaceful. Breakfast was great, something for everyone, freshly squeezed orange juice, smoothies, great variety of teas and coffees. Omlette and pancakes made freshly. Hot food, salads, meats, fruit, cakes and a huge variety of breads. Something for everyone. If you want your full Irish Breakfast plenty of places around, but we didnt feel the need to. Filled us up for the day. Staff were so friendly, even saw a little girl going over to one of the staff members to hug her and say thanks. Rooftop pool is fantastic, lots of beds and deck chairs. Water was a bit cold but it was only April. Still plenty of people in pool. Every Staff member was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back

Positives: I enjoyed the evening meals. The reception staff are very helpful. The rooftop area is beautiful. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is spotless clean. Negatives: Bar staff have very little English so hard to communicate. Could be friendlier. The outside noise makes for a difficult nights sleep. We were in a room opposite an arcade. It was a disaster. The restaurant staff arrive at your table wanting your room number. Why I don’t know as you give your room number upon arrival. They hang around the tables too much looking to clear plates within seconds of finishing your food. It became increasingly annoying. The one napkin that’s provided is all you have throughout the meal. We had to reach over to other tables if we needed more. With young children, they can be messy so I feel some napkin dispensers around the dining area is needed. No diet tonic throughout the ten days stay so I had to buy my own as I can’t have high sugar drinks due to diabetes. Due to this, I felt negatively judged by the bar staff. I informed the receptionist but they never stocked any. Many customers drink gin and diet tonic so I feel for a four star hotel it should be available. The lighting in the bar area is way too bright. It felt like an operating theatre. No dimmer lights for during nightly shows. The pools are freezing cold. If I was to visit Salou again, unfortunately I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

This hotel is just amazing, spotlessly clean, the marble floor is amazing and always shining. The roof top pool and sun beds are just fantastic such a nice calm setting. The location of the hotel is perfect. Two supermarkets outside the door and 3 min walk from the beach along a great route full of shops and restaurants. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We can’t wait to go back to Olympus Palace.

What a gem of a hotel, it looks brand new. It has recently been totally refurbished to a very high standard. We stayed for one night in late October, but the hotel was full of business people at a conference, as well as tourists. we opted for the half board option, the food choice was unbelievable, and excellent quality. The pedestrianised road outside was was very busy with tourists, and only a very short walk to the beach. Would stay again when in the area.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel in October. The rooms and all areas of the hotel are beautifully presented. Staff are friendly and helpul. I went half board and the food was excellent. Both pool areas are lovely and the roof top pool is exceptional. The beach and the main promenade are only a 10 minute walk away. I'll definitely be returning

This is our second time going back to this hotel. We have been to Salou for the last three years in October but could not get this hotel last year. It was a pleasure to recently stay there again. I have a detailed review from my first stay so you can get the finer details there. However the food was excellent in 2021 but it was actually better this time round and we had some exceptional nights in the restaurant. We have come to the conclusion that going forward when we go to Salou, the Olympus Palace is the only place to stay. Staff, customer service, cleaning of our room, Food and entertainment was excellent. Well done to all involved

Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Olympus Palace the hotel has been recently renovated it is clean and tidy with a good breakfast and the bar prices are reasonable but that’s where the good parts end. The renovation whilst modern was done to a cheap standard resulting in the noise level in the rooms being horrendous as the corridors are made entirely of solid materials so nothing to absorb the constant banging of doors and the guest’s voices made the sound seem as if it was at the bottom of the bed even if the doors were shut ten rooms down the sound echoed down the corridor resulting in a poor night’s sleep every night. Salou itself has not changed over the years with the usual smattering of gift shops, bars and restaurants. Would return to Salou but not to Hotel Olympus Palace.

5 days into our holiday at this hotel and I must say it is excellent. The check in was quick and friendly even though the room wasn't ready until 1pm should have been 3pm. The rooms are adequate for a superior pool view room. Only criticism is there are no storage drawers. Requested a kettle that came foc. The food here is the best quality I have ever had in a hotel not an awful lot of choice but something for everyone. The beef stew tonight was the best I have ever eaten. Well done Olympus palace. Already booked for next year in may with my son and his wife can't wait.
