The Mandai Wildlife Reserve is located in the northern part of Singapore, next to the Upper Seletar Reservoir. It encompasses multiple wildlife attraction sites and is a popular destination for a full day of wildlife adventure.
Currently, the Mandai Wildlife Reserve includes the Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, and Bird Paradise. Jurong Bird Park has been permanently closed and replaced by Bird Paradise, which has been relocated and redeveloped within the Mandai precinct.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve: Singapore Zoo

The Singapore Zoo is the first wildlife establishment built in Mandai in 1973. It’s been a popular attraction among locals and tourists since then, and it’s frequently ranked as one of the best zoos in the world! Every year, the zoo welcomes more than 1.7 million visitors. It is home to more than 300 species of animals, and 26% of them are endangered. The Singapore Zoo is open daily from 08:30 to 18:00, and the last entry is at 17:00.





Mandai Wildlife Reserve: Night Safari

Witness a different side of animals at night in the Night Safari!
The Night Safari was completed in 1994, and it is the first nocturnal park in the world! You can get a rare chance to see how the animals behave at night and watch stunning performances as well. The Night Safari houses more than 100 species of animals, and almost 41% are endangered. Visit the Night Safari today to find out more about their conservation efforts.
The Night Safari is open from Thursdays to Sundays, on public holidays, and eves of public holidays. The opening hours are from 18:30 to 23:59, and the last entry is at 23:15.





Mandai Wildlife Reserve: River Wonders

The River Wonders is the latest park completed at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in 2012. It is Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park, and it draws attention to the increasingly threatened river ecosystem. The River Wonders features over 240 species of land and aquatic animals, as well as the famous Giant Panda.
The River Wonders is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00. Please note that the Amazon River Quest and Squirrel Monkey Forest are open from 11:00 to 18:00, while the Giant Panda Forest is open from 10:00 to 18:15.





Mandai Wildlife Reserve: Bird Paradise

Bird Paradise is located in the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in northern Singapore. It officially replaced the former Jurong Bird Park, which closed on 3 January 2023 after operating since 1971. Bird Paradise is now Asia’s largest bird park and is home to more than 400 bird species from around the world. Bird Paradise is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:00.

Rainforest Wild Adventure is the newest wildlife attraction within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, designed to bring visitors closer to the wonders of tropical rainforest ecosystems through immersive and adventure-based experiences. It highlights the rich biodiversity of Southeast Asian rainforests and emphasizes conservation and environmental education.
Rainforest Wild Adventure is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00. Please note that certain adventure zones and guided experiences may operate on specific schedules within the park.

1. Singapore Zoo – White Tiger

River Wonders Singapore is home to two giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, who arrived from China in 2012 under a conservation loan programme. On 14 August 2021, Jia Jia gave birth to Singapore’s first giant panda cub, Le Le, marking a historic milestone for the park.Le Le was later transferred to China in January 2023 as part of the international panda loan agreement. Today, visitors can still see Kai Kai and Jia Jia at River Wonders and learn more about giant panda conservation efforts.
