Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center

We were prepared when booking this hotel from existing reviews by others. What happened turns out disappointing. The room on 2000 series on second floor seems an old unit, no shower floor towel, bath tub a bit old but functional, no fridge and so on. We were prepared for all that considering the price and location. At bed time, we found two bugs on bed linen but dusted them off. It's tropical atmosphere, what one expect! The next morning after breakfast, however, I found a few more on my bed. I pulled out a one of my credit card and killed a few. When pulled up my bed cover further, more showed up ...... See the bug in the video clip. I called front desk who sent a room services personnel to look at it. The personnel seems surprised to see the bugs as well. The front desk lady was nice and quick to act and changed my room to the room on 6000 series and okay with us. I requested to talk to their manager. Once back in late afternoon that day, I approached frondesk rep who went to backroom to fetch for the manager. The manager showed up in a while and apologized lightly, and started to push back by saying it's tropical weather here,bugs are normal, and many more. I told him that the room is infested too bad and need a thoughrou cleaning to eradicate the infestation. The manage then went on to explaining the same. I feel disappointed. For this hotel, I do not recommend this hotel until they do a good job. Or if you do like us, not exactly though, do make sure to ask the right question to avoid such a room. Good luck next time.

The most unorganised hotel I have ever been to. Check in is from 3pm and so we arrived at 4pm to be greeted to a huge queue of people unable to get their room as none of the cleaning was completed. Reception told us it would take 30 mins to get a room which was a complete lie. We kept going up and checking and they kept saying another 10 minutes which carried on for 2.5 hours at which time we only received the key to 1/4 rooms I had booked. Other guests we spoke to waited over 4 hours for their room key. We were given one soft drink as a concession for this which I thought was unacceptable. Instead of waiting around to be told further fake waiting times, we left the hotel to go back to town and then on returning at 11pm, the new receptionist had no idea about the issue and struggled to find our other rooms we had been waiting for, resulting in more waiting around after already being frustrated about the situation earlier. Eventually the receptionist from earlier appeared in a very dismissive manner and shoved a post it note with our remaining room numbers for the man to find. Not good service at all. The next day we booked a shuttle bus to the airport. We got to the designated spot and they had run out of room on the bus despite us pre booking. This means we had to wait another 30 mins for a bus to be organised resulting in us having less time at the airport to get through security etc. The actual hotel is fine with a nice pool area (one of the reasons we had booked but were unable to use due to no room access for hours on end) but the management of this hotel is atrocious. Wyndham need to look at this urgently as it is dragging down their name as a trusted hotel chain. I will never be staying at a Wyndham again if they can’t guarantee a stress free experience.

Reasonable place to stay. The shuttle service to the airport was helpful. The hotel is quiet and the beds comfortable. Cleanliness could be improved but this might be due to the fact that we were in the older part of the hotel.

Hotel was nice, the section I was in was old and bathroom need some tlc (painting, upgrade toilet) which didn’t work without holding the handle down until water flushed. You could here construction work from factory next door

It is nice. The staff are nice. There wasn't an elevator for my room, and the staff brought my bags up.

The entrance of the hotel was pristine, I couldn’t wait to see our room and view. Once we left the reception area it looked like we went through a time warp. I’m assuming they’re going through some sort or renovations, at least on the outside. The room was very dated, none of the socket covers seemed to fit, the vent that covered the ac was partially hanging off. Just overall not a pleasant experience. I’m glad it was only for one night and we left around 7am the following morning.

Huge property. Bellman very friendly. Easy check in. Shuttle needs to be booked ahead from airport but runs on time.

Comfortable stay next to airport, everything went great, nice lush vegetation around the hotel,good buffet breakfast for $15.I don’t get why all the bad reviews..

Room was dated - no fridge or coffeemaker in room - other areas of the hotel look to have been updated / pool areas need updating - staff friendly and helpful- bar and grill in lobby area was convenient and shuttle to airport efficient- good for an overnight stay before a flight
