The Utah Inn

It’s an old hotel .. there is no stairs … the room which I stayed was next to the road and it is very noisy with traffic flowing sound. It was very hot as well as it as a ceiling fan only … the washroom was clean and the bar downstairs is good … There is no luggage storage option

I'LL TELL YOU THIS, I ALWAYS GET HIRED WHEN I STAY AT THE UTAH. IT HAS BECOME MY LUCKY CHARM😅 KING STREET HAS CHANGED BUT IT ALWAYS HELPS ME REMINISCE & PONDER. UNION SQUARE IS A NICE WALK DIRECTLY UP THE STREET.

Good area, clean room and convenient to go everywhere, but the noisy from outside at night make i me can’t sleep then have to used earplugs😓

It is good but the window is not sound proof and facing difficulty in getting sleep for three days! But, I would like to appreciate the manager for changing the room for me after I reported the situation.

Go read about the history of the famous Utah Saloon build more than 100 years ago. This facility is operated by an Indian immigrant family and the hallways have a pleasant smell of incense. Pay attention to the shared washroom detail — each floor has one shower and washroom to share. This wasn’t an issue during my stay. The music bar and restaurant on first floor are great with some local performers. Red line train to Chinatown is right across the stress very convenient. Whole foods market also just a block away. As with a lot of SF — there are street people in tents in the neighborhood which can make some travelers anxious — but remember they are not hostile and are a problem all over the city. Overall I had a great experience in this historical hotel. it’s also useful to note they accept a variety of cards visa, MS, china Unionpay, etc.
