Everything was fine, no problems but nothing exceptional

I love San Marcos, but this was our first time to stay at Comfort Inn. Everyone was nice, but it was filthy!!! The floor was dirty, no one bothered to pick up a dead roach in the hall downstairs by the lobby for 2 days. It was dusty, smelly, wall paper was ripped up all over, and the elevators were nasty as well. I will need some Clorox wipes, windex, and room spray if I get stuck staying there again. Oh also, our bed sheet was stained (it looked like old blood…. They gave us a new comforter, but ghat was gross.

It was clean & comfortable. The only issue we had was the pool is not heated therefore our kids couldn't swim for long.

Rooms have had dirty linens, lamps that don’t work (or have to be unplugged to turn off) and bugs, as well as missing sufficient towels/wash cloths. Check in process is slow and not very friendly, depending on the associate at the desk. Not worth the price.

given a room on 4th floor which smelled of cigarette smoke. requested a change and moved to 2nd floor. the ceiling fan did not work and shower appeared to have mold, will not stay again at this location,

The hotel is located in a good area, but the conditions are extremely poor and the aisles to your room are awful. The room itself doesn´t invite You to a safe and relax stay

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and we enjoyed it. Perefct placement to places to eat and shopping options

The room has roaches , pictures are not current and stains all over the window curtains

Hotel was nice. FRIENDLY staff. Rooms are clean and big with plenty of room for a family of 4. Would recommend. I would definitely stay here again

Check in was fine. We didn’t check in until after 10 pm we drove over 14 hours to visit my son who is in college at Texas state. I was awakened around 3:00 with my right arm itching insatiably. Thinking it was the soap, I rinsed it really well and went back to bed but it just got worse. Hoping I was wrong I used the flashlight on my phone and found BEDBUGS!! I caught the ones I saw and put them in a water cup. I thoroughly inspected the rest of the bed, my boyfriend never woke up. I then turned on every lamp in the room and tried to get some sleep. The next morning (first thing) I notified the front desk attendant “Val” she was very apologetic and mortified. We were moved to a new room on another floor. It was for hearing impaired persons. We could hear all of the pipes rattling every time someone flushed or showered. But there were no more bedbugs! My forearm is covered with bites and there are 4 more spots on my upper back. It was not a good stay. But, I was able to spend some quality time with my son, so there is that!

I paid for this room before reading the reviews. The reviews stated there were roaches. I called hoping it had been resolved. The lady that answered confirmed they had a problem with roaches. They would not cancel my room because it was the day of so I was out almost $200 because there was no way we could stay there and had to pay for a night at another hotel.

From my wife: Our visit to this hotel was DEPLORABLE. My son and I traveled to San Marcos for a college tour 11/2 – 11/4 and checked into this hotel. That night, right after my son fell asleep, I started finding roaches on my bed. When one crawled across my ARM, I freaked and tore the bed apart. There were more roaches under my pillows! Went to the bathroom to wash my hands and turned on the lights to find roaches EVERYWHERE! At least a dozen on the bathroom counter, some crawling around inside my son’s toiletries bag. I’d had enough. I woke up my son, we packed our bags, and went to the front desk. We were moved to a higher floor. My only other options were to check into another hotel in the middle of the night or sleep in our car if our new room wasn’t better. We were given a room on the 4th floor. The room seemed nicer but I still spent time looking for roaches before I could sleep. On our 2nd/final night, it was late and I was on my bed when another roach crawled across my arm AGAIN! I tore apart the bed and didn’t see any more. After not finding any more roaches, I put myself into a Melatonin coma so I could sleep. We of course skipped the free breakfast and checked out the next morning ASAP. During our stay, I made multiple attempts to speak with the day manager. Either she was (conveniently) gone or too busy and she never returned our messages. My advice: DO NOT STAY HERE. This place should NOT be allowed to rent hotel rooms to ppl.

It's a nice facility, and we liked our room. Seemed to be a little understaffed, like they were cutting corners, but breakfast staff was very nice. Wi-fi service in our room was very weak, making it difficult to stay on the internet.
