Hotel Santo Tomas / Historical Property

The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Historical sights, museums and bus stations are all within walking distance.

Santo Tomas is an older property but it has its charm. The beds are good and there is plenty of hot water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very close to all amenities, although the grid system can be a little confusing. The breakfasts are good and plentiful. A great place to spend a couple of days seeing the amazing museums and touristy hotspots of San Jose.

Move us to another room. Dark., no windows.m small ,decrepit no electrical outlets. Told us that was our only choice…were moving to another hotel

It was great to find a hotel in downtown San Jose that was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and secure. The staff were friendly and helpful and the tico breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend this little gem to anyone. Thank you

The location is good, rooms are big., staff are good. The only problem to me was cleanliness. I recommend them to wash up all bed covers, they smell dirt. And some rooms has carpets which snell very bad! They need to be washed. I didn’t touch the towels, couldn’t trust if they are clean.

Huge room. Lovely old building, beautiful tile floors. Very secure-parking in an enclosed area. Walking distance to National Museum of Costa Rica (excellent) and several dining options.

First solo trip to costa rica and inselefted a local hotel to get the real experience. It is nicely located so that i could walk to sights. Plenty of eating places nearby. The experience was truly made special by the staff who were very helpful and assisted me with booking my day tours. Also staff made breakfast for me before the 7am time as my tours started much earlier and this was so appreciated beinf that im a diabtetic. Wonderful stay all round

Jeremy let me check in early, which I greatly appreciated. I enjoyed the jacuzzi, and the breakfast was great. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Thomas, who is a good guy. I know that these people will try very hard to make your stay enjoyable.
