The suite I booked turned out to be just a big bed and a small folding bed, maybe my understanding is different. But the front desk changed me to two big bed rooms, which was not bad. Downstairs is the bar street, which is quite interesting to stroll around.

The hotel is almost 100 years old and it's still great because it's been refurbished and well maintained. The main entrance of the hotel is on the pedestrian street, and along the street are restaurants, bars and shops, which is very convenient. It is only ten minutes walk to the famous Stearn Wharf, and the location is excellent. The only downside is that the room is small. But in downtown, this is already very good 😀

Very nice hotel and reasonably priced. Can’t beat the location, right on State St with so many shops and restaurants nearby. Short walk to the pier. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff and hotel itself are lovely. State street seems to have fallen on hard times. Wish the surrounding environment was more compelling but the staff and their efforts were top notch.

Hotel Santa Barbara is a beautiful historical hotel. The minute you walk in, you can feel how special it is.
Updated rooms still hold charm, with very comfortable beds. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Santa Barbara.

The music was super loud but that we could not sleep. I may as well have slept outside. So expensive for the worst hotel ever!!!!

We stay here a few times a year. Looks like they’ve spruced up and added some goodies to the room. It’s always been nice and comfortable. Convenient and near restaurants and bars. Great location. A+
