Capri Motel Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Capri hotel is literally 3 min walk to all the action. The boardwalk and Pier/Wharf are all within walking distance.

Well our AC didn't really work the floor was so dirty that I walked from the shower to the bed which is like 10 steps. My feet were black and it looked like I'd walked a mile on a black asphalt road the fitted sheet and the base of the bed look like it has never been washed. There was brown stains look like I don't know if it was a mop or someone barfing. We found food that we did not consume on the floor at the headboard by the wall. I believe it was pretzels. I don't think they ever sweep the floor or mop or change the under sheet last time. We're ever going to stay there. Wonderful placement but they do not take care of their rooms. Our toilet plugged up. I asked one of the hotel staff for a plunger she pointed in Spanish and pointed to the other end of the building somewhere I had to walk up. Yeah she said that the paper is no good in Spanish to the window and the lady pointed me to the back of the hotel and put it back when you're done. She said so clearly it's needed to be used on a regular basis. We had one and a half rolls of toilet paper ran out. Other than that it was amazing LOL

The staff was amazingly kind and welcoming. I wouldn’t stay here again though, it was booked in a pinch on a last minute trip. Outside of the motel or staff control, it’s just an extremely loud place to stay. You can hear everyone around you, people were constantly yelling and then smoking on the balcony next to the large no smoking sign. The beds are so uncomfortable, my back feels like I was ran over by a car and then they reversed over my body just to run me over again. In the motels control, the toilets have a sanitized paper ring closing the lid to appear cleaned. The toilet seat in our room had poop all over it. I tried to gaslight myself but there’s not disguising a strangers skid marks. Anyway, not my favorite place. Again, the staff was incredibly kind and I didn’t want to complain to them but I did let them know because, gross, they did apologize and that was the extent of that. I do think I’ll never book here again lol hope this helps in your choice!

Walking in it looked clean but when yiu moved the sheets and blankets you see it really is not , the bed had crumbs of sort on in , rhe bottom frame was dirty ( no stained ) nd the pillows was so old and scrunched up together . The bathroom was clean but took literally 14 minute for the hot water to be turn even warm .

Room is fine. I would stay away for the hidden fees and shady practices. I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for the security deposit back and was charged a late check out fee even though I checked out an hour early. The worker on site is not helpful and giving me the run around about deposit back.

Very nice shower, staff was friendly and this was a good value for the price!

Check in person was rude especially after I called about a late check in and they said I could just call and I can get one then I called and they told me I had to be there by 10 no late check was rude door was locked when u got there before 10 he was closing early

I’ve been traveling since I was a kid, so I know what to expect when it comes to motels- honestly this one was really great! Super clean, beds were made neatly and very clean, room was fresh and smelled nice, the bathroom was clean and towels for showering were provided. There was both a microwave and fridge in our room. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. The area itself is all walkable, you can get to the boardwalk easily. The parking was easy and accessible. Checkout was prompt and easy.
