Our Rotary club Roatan Utila Guanaja had our weekly meeting at Hotel Guanaja and spent the night. Amazing customer service and facilities. Well maintained. Cannot say enough good things about facility, management and staff. And a beautiful location

Beautiful location. Beach front cabanas. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The meals are fantastic. Our stay was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful. The hotel has lots of water sports equipment for use when we wanted to explore the crystal clear Caribbean water. The staff were amazing. Every individual we interacted with was friendly and helpful. They treat you like family. We can’t wait to return!

Our medical brigade team stayed at Hotel Guanaja over spring break 2024. We were on the island to hold 5 days of medical clinics for the wonderful people of Guanaja. I cannot say enough positive things about the hotel and staff. They were accommodating to the needs of our 25 members by providing high quality meals, helping with logistics, and serving our every need. While we came to serve the Honduran people, they went above and beyond to serve us. One of the managers, Wilson Calix, ensured that everything went smoothly and acted as an unofficial member of our team. The same can be said for one of their staff. Mcxine Baca, who assisted us with translation and was adored by all. The rest of the staff, while not named here, were also amazing. We will definitely be staying there again.

We had a short 3 day trip that was filled with snorkeling, diving, flats fishing! Roberto, Wilson and crew did an amazing job coordinating our daily activities including picnic lunch each day! This resort is a great place to relax, slow down and enjoy the island life! Absolutely will be back again!

This was a wonderful place to stay with a great staff and dive crew. We were there for a week in a sea front cabana which was very spacious and clean. We were beach front and could hear the waves as we slept. If you plan on visiting I would recommend bringing some bug spray for the sand flies. The food at the hotel was also delicious, we did not have a bad meal our entire stay. They were also able to work with my Fiancé who has celiac and required gluten free meals. Tishani was our bartender / server who took good care of us our entire stay. The dive crew was amazing, our captain Jorge was very knowledgeable of the area and we always felt safe with him. Roberto was our dive guide and our go to person for everything during our stay. When we went diving Roberto was the guide, when we wanted to paddle board he retrieved them for us, when we wanted to purchase shirts he took care of us, literally anything we needed he was happy to help. Overall I would highly recommend Hotel Guanaja for anybody looking for a nice remote getaway or looking to do some scuba diving. We definitely enjoyed our time there.

Hotel Guanaja is an absolute paradise! Our cabana was steps from the beach where our kids could fish, snorkel or take scuba lessons at anytime during our trip. Every morning the grounds were maintained perfectly and fresh, sweet coconuts were gathered by the friendly gardeners, chopped a few times with a machete, and ready to drink for the ultimate natural morning hydration. We discussed our activity plans for the next day every evening with Wilson, the manager and everything was always perfectly ready to go. Most days we would pack a cooler with lunch and beverages, and Darryl, one of the local guides on staff at the hotel, would take us to a picture perfect caye without any other people in sight where we would spend most of the day exploring the coral reefs, fishing, and searching for iguanas, hermit crabs and the like. We were given historical facts constantly about the island and the cayes around the area whenever we would take a trip on the water or in a small taxi that could come and drive around the island on a tour. It is truly an incredible $5 taxi drive along the coast and into the towns within the mountains of the island. We rarely ate outside of the resort, the food, prepared by local staff was absolutely incredible. Many people come from around the island and other resorts to eat and hang out in the relaxed setting in the bar, so you know you're in the right place. Highest recommendation goes to the conch soup but the whole fried snapper with coconut rice and beans is close! We have been to several similar resorts in the caribbean and Hotel Guanja is the REAL DEAL for a beach front, relaxing and adventurous hoe away from home. *We traveled from Miami to Roatan and took the ferry over to Guanja, traveled to several towns and villages while we were on the island with our two sons under 13 years old, and at no time did we feel unsafe in any way..

Loved the quiet setting, wonderful meals and everyone that works there is so kind and thoughtful. Really beautiful place, clean and well cared for. My husband enjoyed the scuba diving and fly fishing (I am not a diver or fisherman but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute on the comfy porch hammock). I could not have enjoyed my birthday boat ride & Waterfall hike more! They did so much to make my day special.

This place is really special. The location is amazing and the staff are some of the most wonderful people you've ever met. The food was exceptional, so good in fact that we only ate there for the duration of our stay. We were there during my husband's birthday and they even made us a chocolate cake specially for him that was out of this world! We booked a massage in our room that was incredible and a snorkel trip that was simply wonderful. If you're trying to figure out where to stay in Guanaja, this place is a no-brainer. You can take a tuk tuk into town because they are one of the few places on the island that has road access.

I was traveling with a group of family/friends having just completed a 10-day birding trip on the mainland (ChooseHonduras.com). Hotel Guanaja was to be our down time. It was a beautiful location and Gabby and Wilson made our stay most pleasant. The rooms were perfect, the food (vegan served family-style) was incredible. Miguel was always at the ready at the bar. Our snorkeling/kayaking adventures were beyond description. Darrell kept us safe on every boat ride. I highly recommend this hotel.
