From the 4 star rating and pictures thought this looked nice, but soon realised the pictures were not a reflection on the actual location. Will start with the positives: Ok now onto the negatives; Room was in need of repair - tv not working. Shower decided how hot / cold it wants to be - from cold to scolding and back to cold. Road to hotel is a muddy track which is not lit and walking back from the night market led to a nice mud bath for my shoes : legs. The pool was closed and very dirty. The grounds overgrown and in need of serious attention. Apparently 4 star - maybe many years ago, luckily only had a night stay and so glad. Recommend avoiding.

** Hotels, resort and entertainment orientation, but obviously the level is not enough. Considering the local situation, I think basically all is OK. Although the hotel level is higher than other local hotels, it is still not good for the integrity of international passenger service reception. The counter is not good at foreign languages, and checkin and checkout are slow. Finding occasional problems in the service requires passengers to confirm repeatedly. But still praise the waiter's attitude is very kind and friendly, try to meet the customer, but still unfortunately the enthusiasm can not fully compensate for the deficiencies of hardware and software. The room is spacious and tidy, the furniture is old but useful. The meal was unfortunately failed, and the simple change was not good taste and the amount was insufficient. Sometimes the breakfast time was not finished, and the waiter had cleaned it up. Although I saw that I entered the restaurant and kindly took the rest out to me, but the amount was small and I was disappointed. Fortunately, there is a snack shop in the hotel. I have survived several times of hunger with the instant noodles sold in this store. The hotel has a free airport transfer service, which is good. There is SPA facilities but I am not used, and the price is very cheap. I will probably choose this one for the next business trip. But it is recommended that other guests stay in the hotel, please check out the day or night before in advance, otherwise the waiting time at the counter will kill you in the morning, and it will be bad to delay the flight.

The hotel is not bad, it took me a while to find a hotel. The breakfast is good, and there is also a drop-off service. The breakfast is Thai barbecue, drinks, rice, etc. It is a bit wasteful to eat it by one person. If it is suitable for two people, it is already the best hotel in this place!

This is a really nice place to stay if you are visiting Savannakhet. It is very 'low-key', located in a quiet neighbourhood and very good value. We stay one night recently. The rooms (there are three) are air conditioned, spacious, very clean and very comfortable. All of them are en-suite. Niko is a very good host. Highly recommended.
Pilgrim's Kitchen & Inn

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Pilgrim’s Inn. The room was spacious and clean and a very reasonable price and the staff is exceptional. The linens and towels were very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bonus for us was the location. Pilgrim’s Inn is located right on the Mekong River so you have a beautiful view. There is also a park next door for early morning walks or just to stretch your legs after a long drive. Then there is Pilgrim’s Kitchen…You don’t want to miss out on their delicious food and coffee. I highly recommend Pilgrim’s Inn!
