Hanting Express (Shanghai Jing'an Temple Zhenning Road Branch)

For a budget hotel, this Hanting on Zhenning Road was reasonable. Unfortunately, there were some temporary construction work going on during our stay but that only occurs in day time so it didn’t affect us too much as we were out during the day. It is one of the newest Hanting, so the rooms were not smelly and were clean. The water pressure in the shower was good. The toilets are Japanese-type toilets with warm seats and automatic flushing (no bidet functions!). The beds (x2) were reasonable size (1 room), it fitted an adult and a child each. But if you are not able to co-sleep, I would suggest getting 2 rooms as the bed size is in between a large single and a small double. There are complementary Chinese tea and latte available at reception. There are washing machines (with inbuilt detergent dispensing) and dryers available to use. It is a 8 minute walk from the nearest metro station (Jiangsu) and 20 min walk to Jing’an Temple (Nanjing Road). English was barely spoken but the reception is happy to communicate with translation apps. Breakfast was available in their small dining room but we didn’t partake, so cannot comment.
