Side Star Elegance Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

We had a fantastic time at the Side star Elegance hotel, I was surprised with it being out of season how much of the hotel was open, practically everything except one or 2 outside restaurant/bars. The beach bar was lovely and plenty of sunbeds by the beach and the pool, we never got up early especially to get beds which was great. The a la carte restaurants were amazing, we did the Chinese, Italian and Turkish and enjoyed all of them, the buffet also has theme nights too and so much choice for food. The patisserie is open most of the day plus the snack bar down by the beach offering jacket potatoes, waffles, Turkish pancakes, pizzas, all made fresh and a help yourself freezer with various ice-creams which my daughter loved! Drinks were really good in time out bar and the bar with the piano in (can't remember the name of it) international brands but remember to ask for Smirnoff or absolute to ensure you're given those, some bars have local brands, those were ok and the prosecco and wine were decent. Entertainment team work very hard and have lots of enthusiasm, didn't see alot going on during the day but there was a list of things happening. The shows ranged from live music, dancing, acrobats, karaoke and bingo, considering it's low season we were impressed. The main guy knows so many languages - very impressed. The spa is a must, a lovely relaxation room, salt room, sauna, steam, Turkish hammam room and you get robes and slippers in your room that you can wear to the spa. Overall the staff are all friendly and work very hard we would definitely like to return again and have recommended this hotel to friends

Chose this hotel for its extensive food as I am travelling with a fussy 4 yr old, there is plenty of food options, the ‘time out snack bar’ is available throughout the day when the main restaurant is closed, I have seen it’s some the food options from the main restaurant. There is a microwave in the main restaurant I used to heat up milk. This is a luxury 5* hotel everyone in the area told us we will not be disappointed. However we didn’t feel our stay was enjoyable as don’t feel this hotel is best for families, there are a lot of business people, people in suits, elderly couples which I would say is more of the hotels clientele. We saw some families. We felt the rooms were quite small, they did change our room for free to a sun/sea view room. Service is excellent don’t get me wrong but just not the right family vibe for us. We are a family of 3. I don’t want to have to tell my child to be quiet and behave when we are on vacation nd have raised eyebrows not that he isn’t but just the mood of the place I personally did not like. I think we could have had a better experience at a more reasonably priced resort. Mostly German/European. We did the closeness of beach and amazing views. Indoor heated pool, we used the spa which was good. Staying here for a week I am on day 4 now leaving this review. Hope this helps

We have just spent 42 nights at this hotel, our 2nd visit as we spent almost a month here last year and wanted to return. SideStar Elegance did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly. Not all staff speak good English but we managed and have been very satisfied with the service provided by this hotel. There wasn't too many Brits here, a few Scots but probably mainly German guests. The restaurant is large with an amazing assortment of food beautifully displayed and carried a theme on alternate nights. Beautifully cooked, different combinations to what we are used to but plenty of choices. In addition this hotel has 4 A La Carte restaurants which we went to several times all included in our all inclusive plus cost. The salad bar is 2nd to none and the choice of fresh fruit is amazing! We also got free weekly laundry services for 3 weeks or more duration - what a treat going home after 6 weeks with 95% clean clothes! Our rooms were cleaned every day, towel changes etc. our fridge was re stocked daily FOC. We regularly treated ourselves at the Waffle bar where you could have waffles, pancakes, pizza, jacket potatoes and help yourselves to the ice creams as often as you wish. The Time Out bar serves food once the restaurant closes and is available throughout the night. The Spa facilities and gym are also all included but you pay for any treatments which are quite expensive, we didn't purchase any. There is a pool, Sauna, Steam room, Salt room Turkish baths and a Relaxation room. There is a hairdresser barber on site, a doctor visits every day also they have Bowling and amusements. Outside there are several pools at least one of them is heated. The hotel is large and has it's own little funicular lift to take you down to the beach and promenade and Ficus coffee bar. The promenade is flat and you can walk into Side in about 20 mins, walk to the old town and harbour in 40 mins strolling where there are extraordinary antiquities or catch the local bus. They have an entertainment team and some entertainment is provided every evening. If we had any issues reception dealt with them immediately, the service provided was exceptional so too were the waiters who very quickly got used to your tipples and brought them to you often before you had chance to order them! We left this hotel with a zero bill and no complaints. Very good value for money.

Welcome and check in great, welcome soft drinks and fruit in the lobby after a long journey are great touch. First dinner Xmas eve- struggled to find a seat for over 15mins, lots of parts to restaurant with little to no coordination of guiding diners to a seat- that said the meal and the effort they went to was outstanding. Cocktails served before dinner to mark Xmas eve. Hotel complex on different levels, would recommend going for a stroll to find all the areas you want to visit in the first day. If you have mobility issues then take the lift to the -4, there is an escalator to the beach so it’s got wheelchair access the beach. Tip- it’s next to the indoor swimming pool. Rooms- 2 town rooms in block 3, overlooking a private property to the side of the hotel which we preferred. Rooms were of a decent size, had a safe, tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was open planned with separate cubicle for the toilet and shower. Usual 5 star complimentary with soap/shampoo/lotion….. Mini bar as part of all inclusive- topped up daily. Food- plenty of choice with the main buffet restaurant, lots of snack bars which served enough variety of food to have a decent meal. We enjoyed the fresh pizza, crepes and waffles at the pesto bar near the beach. The lady making the pizza could smile a bit, however the young man making the crepes was extremely welcoming. Different theme in the Buffett restaurant each night, plenty of red meat/chicken/fish and vegetarian options. Delicious desserts including baklava. We had the options of a complimentary dinner in a la carte restaurant- but didn’t take it up due to the quality in the main restaurant. Wifi - good coverage in the hotel and beach for our family. I struggled sometimes as I use a VPN on my phone. Tennis court available to use free of charge, but you have to pay €5 to hire rackets- can bring your own. Gym- 2 rooms, 1 with cardio machines, the other with resistance machines, dumb bells to 25kg and a smith machine with max weights to 97.5kg. The resistance machines are all new and of really good quality and comfortably deliver a good workout. Aerobic area near the heated indoor pool. Table tennis also there. 1 outdoor pool and Indoor pool heated and comfortable for December. Other pools but too cold to swim, still used by people for the Sun loungers. Private beach, well maintained and we had a dip in the sea which was comfortable. The hotel was kept immaculately clean throughout and all spills were dealt with promptly. Games room- need to buy tokens for everything other than the billiards table. Minimum 4 tokens for €5, Guests were a mixture of German and English and were all pleasant- mainly pensioners, some families with younger kids from Uk. It’s the type of experience which leads many to come back to visit again, and after meeting some guest who had done that- you can understand why. They had a usual party planned for New Year’s Eve, but we left on the day so didn’t take part.

Very nice swim up room. Nice hotel well looked after and clean. Fantastic entertainment team, great fun for all age groups, at the pool especially No pressure to join in the games but made very welcome Food very good Spa service was good too great staff

Definitely not 5 star! It was a little out of season so weather wasn’t the best, it’s a huge hotel that caters mainly for Germans & Russians All inclusive wine completely undrinkable, cocktails terrible and fizzy drinks flat. Food okay, wouldn’t stay again

6 of our family members had booked a two week holiday at the Side Star Elegance in first week of May. They were celebrating a 70th Birthday, 71st Birthday and 50th Wedding Anniversary. Me and my wife asked if we could join them for the first week and they were happy for us to join them. We got there on Thursday late night and on the Saturday I lost 80% of my vision by the evening. On the Sunday morning I waited until midday, and I was hoping that my vision would come back, but it did not. So I went to see the hotel doctor and she immediately wrote a referral letter and arranged a taxi for me to attend a clinic. At the clinic, the optician checked my eye and said that I had a detached retinal and needed an urgent operation, and they arranged for me to attend a hospital in Antalya for the operation on Monday. I had the operation and returned back to the hotel on the same day. They only thing was I had to sleep on my tummy for the next 7 days 24/7, which was hard as I was restricted to my room only. The Gust Services staff, Ceren, Mustafa, and their manager, Derya Altmış Arıkan were so helpful and accommodating that I can't praise them enough. Ceren and Mustafa would call me on my room phone to check if I was ok and needed anything. They are a credit to the hotel. Even the Front Reception staff were very helpful in helping us with extending our stay at the holtel because I could not fly out for another 11 days. The reception staffing also made sure that we did not have to move rooms because we had a sea view room. The hotel is large with so many facilities but I was unable to use any due to my operation. The main restaurant, Pool Bar / Restaurant, Main Lobby Bar, Time Out Bar always had a happy face, and they could not do enough for you. They had a wide variety of food in the Main restaurant with lots of choose. The rooms are very comfortable and were cleaned every day. We would love to go back and enjoy the hotel and Facilities again in the future specially me because I missed out on everything.

The holiday started well, stayed in room 1572 which was adequate and far enough away from the main road not to be disturbed. Kebabs during the day were great and there was plenty of places to eat all day. However, our experience was marred by a poor level of service consistently throughout. Other family members had cash stolen from there room, the hotel did very little to help, and it was strongly insinuated that they had lost the money rather than it being stolen and were told to pay for an interpreter. The water machine in the gym was being cleaned, with no signage, or staff present initially to advise not to drink, and no where else to get a drink without going 3 floors up in the lift. Evening meal selection for kids is dreadful. Our son had spaghetti and sauce every night. Finally our son had been sick and as such we requested a late check out, understanding that it was free of charge given other hotel guests had received a late check out free of charge, only to be told it was 60 Euros.

Just returned from our fourth visit to this stunning hotel. Positive comments The whole workforce are always happy and polite, never a sour face, food in abundance and of good quality, many complain about food being repetitive, we have never found it so. Bars a staffed well with original international brands, and even local alcohol is good quality. Cleanliness! Well you have an army of cleaners 24 hrs a day, not many hotels can boast that, everything is spotless, subsequently no flies or any other creepy crawlies. Housekeeping is first rate, cleaned every day and fresh towels every day. Negative NONE We will return again Thank you
