Once and done. This hotel fails unfortunately on many levels... where to start? 1. Beds: there have to be 3 or more levels of "mattress toppers" or such - literally like sleeping in a giant marshmallow. Ugh. 2. Not kept clean; the grounds are not tidy, the doormat at our room entrance was never cleared of leaves and debris, etc. 3. Housekeeping; they missed some days for us and friends; when they did clean, didn't sweep floor which had obvious dirt/gravel as this covers the outdoors, adjacent to all the rooms. 4. The hotel has outdoor gas firepits and a small pool, that's it. A daily $25 "amenity" fee was charged... for...?

The hotel is very quaint and out of the way. Easy to find. The staff go above and beyond to help you when you arrive, and check in is easy and smooth. It is a smaller hotel/motel, so there is no bellman or anything like that, and no staff on duty after 10pm, but can be contacted if an emergency. Outside there are fire pits and lots of places to sit and relax with a glass of wine (bought from the small store in the lobby area). Would be a beautiful evening, but it was very cool at night still, so not a lot of people were sitting out. The room was huge, loads of space with a small kitchenette area with a coffee machine etc, and a small fridge and little freezer section. The bathroom was large also, shower only, no bath tub. There is a TV and a little built in fake fire in the bedroom, but the room is clean and well aired. The bed is very soft so if you are a firm bed sleeper, this will not be comfortable for you! The breakfast is very simple, but great! Delicious scones and croissants, (very weak!) coffee, juices, granola and yoghurts, fruit, perfect start to the day!

Overall I liked this hotel and would stay there again…if I can get a better price. It’s not great value at $500 a night, off season, for the deluxe category (middle tier) and I think they can charge what they do because there is not a lot of competition and everything around is expensive. Great: fire pits, bocce, clean. We were very close to the main drag, and even on a weekend, noise not a problem. Room 12 had good space including a kitchenette. HVAC quiet and effective. Lovely patio area out front. Immaculate grounds. Lovely night time lighting, lots of us enjoyed ample seating with drinks around the pits. Fancy Nespresso machine. Super staff. Breakfast food (but see more below). Needs improvement: some functional challenges like when I sat on the couch, my head hit the huge TV screen that was hung about 8” out of the wall. I am not tall. Poor lighting in the room overall. No tea! No way to heat water. That is an easy fix: small electric kettle. The breakfast experience is weird…there are only 4 tables for 20+ rooms, so if the weather is not good it would be a scrum. We had good conditions altho cool (45 degrees in the mornings) so they turned on the fire pits which helped but… One last note: if you are looking at other reviews, I recommend you focus on the last 6-12 months. I think the place had a big upgrade as many of the things people commented on are no longer there (rooms are numbered and not named after wine varietals, for example).

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. We loved our stay. It was relaxing, and the grounds were well kept. The hotel is centrally located and has a great breakfast. They have bikes, and at night, they light up the torches and have several patio firepits. Highly recommended.

We stayed over 4th of July weekend. This is a small hotel, with beautiful grounds, and close proximity to wineries. Nice and clean with modern decor. It is not luxurious, but it is very comfortable and dog friendly. We upgraded to a king deluxe room, but I regretted it as the mini fridge was very loud and buzzed all through the night. Parking is easy though and there are two EV chargers (only one seemed to work).

Lots to do here. Nice pool (limited to adults), well maintained bocce ball court , numerous fire pits that are pre lit. Lots of chairs and hammocks about. Very good breakfast that you can enjoy indoors or out under the mighty tree cover. We liked that they had the “over 21” rule for pool use. Our room was very spacious, w/ a large patio and fire pit, very nice! Only room complaints, two things: minimal storage space, no chest of drawers. Other thing was very cute retro lights by the bedside, but so dim you could not read once it got dark.

We enjoyed our stay here. The place is a converted old motel. They did a great job. The hourse grounds have two fire pits, plenty of separate seating areas, and even a bocce ball court. The breakfast was good, but we did not love the coffee. The pool is small, but ample room to sit and lounge. There is a bike trail across the road, and the hotel has bikes you can borrow. Ubers seemed plentiful and cheap, which was nice after a day of wine tasting.

The room we stayed in was reeking of cleaning products. I'm not sure what mess prior to our check in warranted such extreme cleaning method, but it made the room unbearable to stay in, also delaying our checking by an hour. The front desk tried very little to help but wished us luck. Our luggage and backpacks were saturated with the smell for weeks and who knows how much harmful chemicals we have inhaled through the night. I would have just left for another hotel if I had not been traveling with my toddler. I never had to escape from a hotel at the crack of dawn because it was too stressful to stay any longer. The pungent odor is probably an isolated incident, but don't expect any meaningful help if you run into any issues. And also, please don't be fooled by the pretty landscaping and semi updated rooms. It's really just a glorified motel with the level of service to match, charging $400+ a night.

Pros: Grounds are nicely decorated. Room was clean and well decorated. Outside area was private and quiet. Staff was friendly Cons: Overpriced for the value. Rooms are small for 2 people. Parking lot is dirt and muddy when it rains making unloading luggage a chore. Not close enough to walk to anything (restaurants, stores, etc). Situated between 2 church parking lots so no scenic views. Conclusion: Not enough value to justify the price. Can’t even enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit because that’s against one of the many rules. There are better options in the area.
