My young son and I spent one day/night at Auto Camp and absolutely loved it. We had planned to venture out and see more of the surrounding area, but Auto Camp was so cool and fun that we ended up staying at camp the entire day. First the airstreams are very cool. Modern and clean and they have every amenity - even pens, scissors and a bottle opener. And the shower/bathroom is surprisingly spacious. The decor throughout is tastefully done. While the campsites are close together each has a secluded feel because of the landscaping. It really feels like you're alone in the woods. The communal amenities are nice as well. There is a large fire pit that provides a nice ambiance and a large grass field where my son and I tossed a football. There is also a playground for younger kids. It's nice to walk around the path that circles the camp. It's short but they have these stunning green leafed trees that appear to glow in the sunlight. Oh and they also have bikes you can take on a first come, first served basis. We rode them into town to grab some food for dinner to cook on our grill - every airstream or luxury tent gets a fire ring with cooking grate. Lastly the staff is super friendly and kind and the store is small but seems to have everything you need. If you like rugged tent camping in the outdoors go do that, but if you want a little bit of glamping then Auto Camp is well worth a look.

Blythe was a pleasure to talk to every morning and was very helpful in helping us have a small personal celebration. She is a local and was very knowledgeable about the area. Very, very big thanks to her - please recognize her for this excellent service. The facility itself was nice. There is a small wooden playground onsite that helped entertain the kids, along with an adjacent city-owned playground. There is a small riverbank for the Russian River about a 5 min walk away that was great as well. And it is nice to have a supermarket and town nearby, along with all the wonderful things there are to do around the area like Armstrong, Jenner, the shore, the winery scene, etc. The trailers were also great. Roomy enough compared to a tent. They do wobble when you walk inside them, which is an issue when you have people sleeping. The fold out beds are a little small, but adequate, again considering the context. The bathrooms are great too. There are showers in the lodge as well, if you need something a little roomier. Firepits, communal areas, and internet were all solid. When we were there, it was not crowded at all. If it were fuller, it might have been a different experience. All said, would definitely come back.

If you are headed here and it it pouring, go home. If you are headed here and it is not raining, go home. Russian River has its own gulag. It is a trailer park with old airstreams that are.cramped, uncomfortable and are parked in a dreary little corner of a wooded area. This is where you stay if you are hiding from the law. The reception area is drafty and mostly serves as a place to sell items with the autocamp brand. Fortunately, they also have a good selection of wine to help forget the autocamp brand. The nearby town is a bustling metropolis, was never said by anyone. You will have no choice but to eat at one of the fine establishments and fight with your spouse over who suggested this trip in the first place.

Love love love this place … it has been on my travel bucket list for a few years and finally we arrived. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The checkin was easy using info via text. The vibe is healthy, modern, and full of nature. The redwoods are just gorgeous and the open space on the property is breath taking. We had an airstream with a hot tub and they set it up for us (wood burning redwood). It was wonderful - although regulating the temp is not easy … it was super hot and then with the cover off, it dropped down. And we brought our own wine and they even had nice wine glasses. Nothing but great things to say to about this lovely place … off to cycle and wine taste.

Cory was super welcoming and helpful. Our Airstream was impeccable. The camp-sight is so tidy and beautifully manicured. The fires were always on with a cozy seat to sit by it. It was very quiet in the night time and morning to allow for a sound sleep. It was an amazing experience!

Got home after a weekend at Autocamp. This is a must for anyone looking to unplug and unwind. It’s camping with all the comforts of home without any packing or set up. Could there be anything better? Also the team is absolutely fantastic - shout out to Debby at the Front Desk!

I made a last minute Sunday night reservation at AutoCamp Russian River and drove out Bohemian Highway to Guerneville. I am originally from Sonoma County and was taking note of all the changes (more restaurants, far more tourists, and generally more sophisticated vibe), and the things that have stayed the same (the river culture, the River Theater, the River itself...). It's always been a special spot and it's kept what makes it beautiful and unique. Thank heaven. I was searching for someplace quiet to spend the night. A chance to regroup and relax. Friends suggested AutoCamp as something unique and different from wine-centric hotels in the County. I arrived to a crunchy gravel parking lot and an inviting, open air greeting center. I had received a text that outlined the check in procedure and let me know what to expect. I was greeted by a very helpful person who let me know the about the room, the bathroom/showers (in the same building behind the front desk) and which tent was mine for the evening. When I took my little luggage wagon to the tent, I was greeted with a beautiful safari style tent with the basics covered. Lighting was good, a battery powered lantern was provided, an electric kettle, cooler awaiting ice, a little fire pit with grill, and a king sized bed with heated mattress pad. It was really charming and pitch perfect for a "glamping" experience. The shower and bathroom facility were stocked with high quality soap/shampoo and was spa like. The little storefront was well stocked with wine, snacks, fire "wood" in burnable burlap sack. It had most everything you needed for an overnight, including s'more supplies. The bed was wildly comfortable, the camp settled down quickly after the quiet time of 10:00 PM and I slept soundly with the wind whispering through the redwoods that surrounded the campsite. The next morning I went to the yoga teepee and did a little stretching. Jill was working the front desk and was a delight. She lives close by and knows the area like the back of her hand, took a real interest in the quality of my stay and struck the perfect balance friendliness and service. Her care really made the difference for me. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying another night or two under the stars and redwoods at a very special place. Great work AutoCamp.

I have always wanted to stay in an Airstream. I camped when I was younger but now that I am a senior, I like “glamping”. What a fun two night stay we had. AutoCamp is beautiful. The Rec Center is lovely and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The property is gorgeous. I am from this neck of the woods and I appreciate how they have incorporated the units into the natural woods. Thank you! Our Airstream was lovely. I will include some photos. We slept VERY well in the comfortable bed as it was extremely quiet even though we were surrounded by young children. The bathroom is luxurious. I could have used a bit more counter space but we did bring our espresso machine and small coffee pot as we are not fans of French press coffee. As always, the dorm fridge could have been larger but it is standard hotel room size. Good microwave. We didn’t cook our dinners but many other campers did. Their good wood is fabulous. We pre-ordered and it was waiting for us when we arrived so I could have my S’More. The front desk staff even has great long wood marshmallow roasting sticks available. We enjoyed sitting by both fire pits in the rec center. They had a wine tasting on Thursday night. We met so many wonderful people during our stay. The atmosphere encourages friendliness and fellow campers enjoying having a nice conversation. A walk in beautiful Armstrong Woods among the redwoods and a drive to the California coast are always memorable. Guerneville has some lovely restaurants. Try “boon eat & drink” as it is well worth the wait for a table. A fantastic get away with most of the luxuries of a great hotel.

Having recently stayed at an autocamp nestled in the heart of Russian River, California, I'm beyond excited to share my incredible experience. As someone who loves the great outdoors but also values comfort, this hidden gem exceeded all expectations. The autocamp itself boasts a harmonious blend of luxury and nature. The accommodations are top-tier — comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. The custom-designed Airstreams are far more than your typical campers. They come equipped with boutique-style amenities, providing a serene retreat after a long day exploring. The outdoor campfire, a wonderful gathering point, quickly became a personal favorite for late-night conversations under the starry sky. The staff were nothing short of amazing. Every team member was knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to assist with a warm, welcoming smile. They went above and beyond to ensure that the stay was comfortable, from assisting with reservations to providing insights on local attractions. But perhaps the most standout feature of this autocamp is its location. Nestled among towering redwoods and adjacent to the stunning Russian River, the camp provides a picturesque escape that simply can't be duplicated. Here, nature's beauty is your backyard — whether that involves peaceful walks by the river, birdwatching in the tranquil early morning, or kayaking through the water under the afternoon sun. All in all, my stay at the Russian River autocamp was an unparalleled blend of comfort, adventure, and natural beauty. It offers an authentic yet luxurious camping experience that I would recommend to any traveler in search of something truly special.
