The front desk staff were smiling sweet talking do nothings. The first day we had room service and not again for 5 days. I asked 3 times to get a blanket before one was delivered. We discovered we were leaving the DND sign on till 11:30a. That was ok the 1st day, but not afterwards. The sign was removed at 10:00am still no service. There was no checking on us even when discussed with the staff. I find fault with the front desk not the room service people. They followed up very little. I was able to chase people down or ask the front desk or get a maintenance person to help to get wash clothes and coffee. We have someone in the hospital, so other family had already made reservations with you and experienced the same lack of service at the front desk. No one on duty for several minutes. They had made reservations for queen beds but no room was available except king beds. I'll let them tell their own full story. But let me add as they were checking in a different customer was saying the same things. Get your act together.

Everything was great except the breakfast was way to pricey for what was available on the buffet. Also don’t like buffet food.

The hotel is beautiful. So convenient to the theater down the street. Walking distance and a Krispy Kreme right across the street.

We had an emergency evacuation during the stay. None of the staff were clear about the situation and just left us confused and a bit worried leaving the building for unknown reason.

Very open space, friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't say I liked the scampy amount of toiletry. When my room was made, they threw away the soap and did not replace it. The lotion, the same. No replacement.
Many little details need attention. Paper seams are open, and a cracked sink. The room information on the TV listed the wrong room number. No paper or pen to leave a note. A beautiful spacious room with cheap motel amenities. Bedding is great. Clean room. The heat was feeble, but it is not cold in South Carolina. I sincerely expect more from Marriott—no explanation of services when you check-in. I had to call to get the password for the internet—nothing in the room. I still think the Hotel is excellent; the details break the perception.

I was very disappointed that wifi was extra, the fireplace was not working, and that I paid a lot of money for room and food and waited a long time for the food. Also part of my food was missing when I got back to room. Smaller hotels give free wifi. I guess I will need to stay at one of them next time.
