Spartanburg Marriott

Loved it in our hometown for the first time didn’t know spartanburg could be so extravagant

Was not an amazing experience, hotel was an older building with great potential. However, the attention was strictly focused on lobby and dinning area. The rooms did not get the same love as the other areas previously mentioned. I went there for the amenities, particularly the pool but never used it. It needed cleaning and an upgrade. The rooms needed upgrades on plumbing, cable selections and general cleaning. I found toenail clippings on the carpet.

Pool was very clean. The hot tub was not working when we were there, which would have been nice, but everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in great proximity to VCOM. The Starbucks in the hotel was great. We stayed 2 nights. The room was NOT cool at all. We were warm. The mattress in both beds were old and had sink holes. The parking underground was nice bc the car was never smoldering. The room was quiet. It seemed clean.

Much nicer than I expected, especially in the main areas. Staff helpful.(Gigi) Friendly seevice at bar. Overall very nice property.
