Malena Palace Experience

The property is not easy to find. Fortunately, one of the local tour guides inside the palace gave me some directions, and I made the slog up the three or four flights of stairs to the room. The actual location is good, close to all the main sites and places to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable with hardwood floors and a mini-fridge. The best thing about the property is the owner Malena. She is super friendly and helpful and will even do some laundry for you if you ask her. I do have to say though that having to go up and down all those flights of stairs every time you want to go out gets a bit tiring, especially for someone who is as out of shape as I am. This is absolutely not for someone who has any kind of mobility issues. For anyone else, though, who is in halfway decent shape, this is an option well worth considering.

Lovely, kind host, gave us fresh lemonade and melon on arrival on the beautiful terrace. Stayed here for two nights either side of our trip and both rooms were clean, cool and quiet. V good location in the middle of the bustling old town with a 10 min walk to bus station and ferry port. Would definitely stay here again.

The host was amazing! I didnt realize i had to check out super early of my previous accommodation and she was able to work with me to check in early. She also gave me a map of the city with her recommendations.

Tucked into Diocletian’s Palace walls, and up 3 flights of stairs, this property offers clean and comfortable rooms in the heart of the many restaurants, bars and shops. Malena is very hospitable.

Great location within the Palace walls. Everything you need in walking distance.
