Premier Inn Luton South (M1, J9)

clean hotel,very comfortable only problem was the carpet was damp on the side of the bed,staff was friendly,furniure was a bit untidy,could have done with more teabags in the room and you could get more at the receptionist area,disabled room was easy to reach

The room was reasonable, with a comfy bed and a window that opened onto trees. A bit tired in places but clean. I wish I’d known beforehand that we could get interconnecting rooms as we would have preferred that option. Unfortunately we had a noisy family in the “attached” room which meant our sleep wasn’t great on the 2nd night but it was very peaceful the first night. There was no lift unfortunately as it is an older building but there is just a ground floor and first floor. Luckily a fellow guest helped my elderly mum with her luggage as I couldn’t manage any more myself. Lovely friendly staff. Disappointing breakfast but there is a Harvester as an alternative at the other end of the car park.

A big thank you to Michael for his help when I had trouble getting into my room after it malfunctioned. It was very late in the evening and he went out of his way to help. He fixed the door and helped me with my bags upstairs. Kind, friendly and professional.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights for Radio 1s Big Weekend. All the staff were so friendly and attentive- particularly Sylvia, Elaine and Sara. The breakfast was delicious and the room was exactly what we needed. Thank you- we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Alice and Jack :)

The 15 minute checkin time waiting for a staff member to come back from their break and the 35 minute wait for breakfast to be served should stop anyone staying in this hotel. If you're travelling for the airport I'd recommend any other nearby hotel. If you're travelling for work like I do I'd suggest staying in St Albans or Hemel itself. Moth eaten sheets and curtains. Grim outdated rooms. Very low par for a Premier Inn

Stayed in this hotel many times over the years and always been satisfied. BUT on a call to the hotel on 16th May 2024 at 17:40 (so the manager knows who was on duty at this time) I was dealt with in a quite dismissive and unprofessional manner regarding an issue I had by the female receptionist. Unbelievable customer service or lack of it. At no point did I speak in a manner that would have offended but during the conversation she ended it by saying she had people to check in, goodbye and put the phone down. I hope you receive what should be coming your way.

The hotel is overall tired and needs renovation. Feels dirty due to scruffy paint, stained grouting, dated decor and stained furniture. Woken at 7.30 on Sunday by a noisy linen delivery The highlight was a lovely breakfast and very pleasant and helpful staff in the morning, which is the only reason to give it two stars

Room and bed were comfortable but unfortunately I was barely able to sleep due to constant humming which I believe came from a generator in the car park. I didn't report because it was only noticeable in bed and nothing could be done about it. I measured the noise at between 25db and 30db. It was a pity as rest was fine.

First time at this hotel and would return. Parking was good, staff were friendly and the hot breakfast was enjoyable. Would have liked to know ahead of time that a)For a small, additional fee, I could arrive earlier than 3pm and 2) Would also liked to have known that lunch and/or dinner were possible options prior to my arrival.
