We loved our experience at The Dorian! Room was beautiful with so many details covered. Bathroom was huge (hard to find these days) and we especially loved the details in the wet bar cart. Service was friendly from check in to check out. We did not eat on site, but the location was in walking distance to our dinner date. Only negative was the cleaning staff talking loudly in the hallway at 9 am for about 20 minutes. I should have let them know their voices carried into our room, but instead didn't say anything...I regret that after the fact. All in all, we had a great time and will for sure book at the Dorian again!

Guest UserI recently stayed at the Delta Hotel near the airport and found the experience quite frustrating overall.
The hotel was very confusing to locate. Even after speaking with two staff members, it took me about 20 minutes to actually find it, which was not a great start—especially after traveling.
At check-in, I was told I would receive a room upgrade due to my membership, but this didn’t end up being the case, which was disappointing. Additionally, service at the front desk was quite slow, and it took a while before I was even attended to.

Guest UserNot our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today!
It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so
minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered.
Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.
After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card.
Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge.
“No apologies or thank you for staying with us”.
Disappointing.
Side note - Service in the casino was great - including the restaurant.

My fellow Rotarian and I came for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary. The stay was pleasant. Service was excellent. Room was cleaned daily which was nice returning to a tidy clean room. Coffee and tea were replenished daily which was great. I will highly recommend to friends and family. The hotel was so close to the airport. Shuttle service was provided to the airport which was convenient. I liked the lobby display ready for the 2015 Calgary Stampede from July 1st 2025 for ten days.

We stayed at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino hotel because we wanted to try the $50 prime rib buffet at the Mohave Grill. The prime rib was amazing by the way. My husband and noticed that hotels were really expensive that weekend, so we thought to pay an extra $40 and stay somewhere that we thought was going to be more bougie than an Econolodge. Upon check-in, the staff were friendly and let us check in early without an extra charge. The rooms were clean and neat. The beds however were not the most comfortable, so the sleep wasn't that great. The tub was also not the greatest as it feels like it was made for a small child, and I'm a medium build at 5'3. We have stayed in Comfort Inns, Econolodges, and other hotels like them and we found the Deerfoot Inn to be the same room-wise. We got our stay for $200 for the night and that was without a continental breakfast. A lot of the time I have seen this hotel at over $300 a night. I wouldn't stay here again unless the rooms are around $160, which to us is what they should be. It was a waste of the extra $40 to stay here when you can get the same room at a cheaper hotel with breakfast. Yes, they have the Casino so there is a little bit more to do walking around but still not worth the room price.

Erica BusilEverything went well. They allowed me to check in earlier than expected and I’m thankful for that. They also let me leave my belongings for a while after I checked out. Thank you!

KH^____^The oasis park is definitely a highlight for this hotel. My kids love going on the slides and we had a great time there. The hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are well renovated. We have no issue even with the sofa bed

Guest UserThe presence of many homeless people nearby made me reluctant to go out at night. The hotel was conveniently located near the 8th Street C-Train station, and it was easy to use the free zone within downtown. It's situated at the western end of downtown, while most major city facilities are to the east. There are plenty of Tim Hortons, convenience stores, and other restaurants nearby, and it's close to the riverside, which is great for walks.
The hotel only has a pool and a gym; there's no breakfast service. The room atmosphere was generally dark, and the facilities felt a bit dated. The room itself was spacious, with a separate bedroom and living area. The bedding was comfortable. Although I could hear the train passing, it wasn't disruptive enough to affect my sleep. The view was of the office building across the street, so I couldn't really keep the curtains open. There's a mini-kitchen, but it's barely stocked with cooking utensils. They don't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to inconveniently ask for it at reception. Housekeeping also occasionally missed cleaning the room.

I had a pleasant stay at The Inn on Officers’ Garden. The room was clean and well maintained, and overall hygiene met my expectations. The location is convenient and quiet, making it suitable for a comfortable stay, especially for business travel.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the facilities were generally good and functional. While some areas could benefit from minor updates, everything worked well and contributed to a comfortable experience.
Overall, a solid choice with good value. I would consider staying here again.
