Stoke Lodge Hotel

The experience was fantastic and I have come home feeling very relaxed. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The new owners were incredibly generous and were thinking of and trying out lots of great ideas. The food was delicious and every need and allergy was catered for. Finally the pool, sauna and jacuzzi were amazing. Thanks so much, Charlotta.

Yes indeed, it was an excellent short break for me and my daughter. Only wish we could have stayed another couple of nights. We had a 'whale of a time'. Our room although smaller was clean, cosy and very comfortable. EVERYTHING we needed or wanted was provided. The food was most enjoyable especially dinner. The chef merits an accolade. Thank you to all staff for our lovely visit. I cannot laud you all highly enough. With love and hugs from Patricia & Tina (The noisy Rugby fans in Room 18 !!! )

We recently stayed here On the whole the hotel was good But a few points the room Was uncomfortable as it so hot We asked for a fan but the hotel didn't have any. We recently stopped in 2 other hotels in torbay and both provided a fan which was running when we arrived to cool the room we were provided with Cold water and lots of coffee tea etc Our dog had bowls blanket bed and biscuits too None was provided at this hotel The breakfast was excellent and service Was good The hotel was in a nice area But compared to the other hotels it was a bit pricey

This is our second stay and we plan to return. The location is perfect being quiet but near to an amazing coastline and Devon towns. The staff are relaxed, welcoming and want to offer you an easy and relaxed time. The food is outstanding and we chose to eat in every night. The locally caught fish are delicious. We found the cost to be very reasonable. All our family were totally relaxed.

We came for our second holiday at this amazing place. We had 3 rooms in all each time - quite a group of us that included four children, one disabled person in a wheelchair and six other adults. We had a wonderful holiday on a half board basis. The chefs are incredible- the food is outstanding. The staff can’t do enough to help. On one night my four year old son fell and hurt his head (his fault). The staff member on shift was really kind and helped us think about that to do. The next morning another member of staff at breakfast asked how my son was. They were really caring and thoughtful. The pool is lovely, as is the sauna. Beautiful gardens. Comfy beds. Amazing food and drink. Lovely view from the bar area of the sea. We can’t wait to return for our third visit. A relaxed atmosphere and lovely people who work there. Thanks to the owners and staff for another fab holiday for my family.

Please read our Google review , truly not good , don't go till new owners are in place and deal with sub standards.Only one umbrella round the pool , jacuzzi still not working , tennis court unusable, shower not working in bathroom for all 7 days , all that was needed new shower pipe. Many niggling things regarding room cleaning ( or lack of it )

A very comfortable stay. Nothing was too much troule, with friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, with restaurant and bar on site. A lovely village location, close to Dartmouth. We'll certainly return.

We have just returned home after a very relaxing few days. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and always with a smile. It’s so nice to find a family run hotel and it really does feel like a home away from home. We really enjoyed our time around the outdoor pool and the delicious food served in the restaurant. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, it was hard to leave and we will definitely been returning!

We had such a delightful visit to stoke lodge. We were so well looked after by the friendly staff. Food was fantastic, delicious drinks on the terrace, beautiful views and walks on door step. We can’t wait to come back!
