Motel 6-Sullivan, MO

The room was clean and included a small refrigerator and microwave. No coffee in the lobby in the morning. Well-lighted parking lot. Pet friendly. Plenty of places to walk your pet. Competitive pricing. Friendly staff. Conveniently located off I-44. Restaurants nearby.

When making my reservation I did not notice on their website they charge a $50 room deposit. When speaking with the manager, I travel all over the country and have never been charged a deposit because the American Express card allows the business to add other charges associated with the room. When attempting to question the purpose and I requested to be present when they”check “ the room (to ensure the deposit goes back to my card) the manager said he wasn’t going to argue with me and told me to leave. I was happy to do so as he and the desk clerk were very unfriendly and more concerned about acquiring the deposit then allowing me the opportunity to be there when they put the charges back on my card. It was just as well because the hotel had an odor about it that I found very unpleasant.

Nasty everything. Couldn't walk on the floors your feet got filthy. Afraid to shower in tub, had to wear socks in the shower. Online and on the phone was told $64. Was charged over $90 and I've not gotten the $50 back either. When I complained the man didn't budge he was rude.

Very clean, affordable, rooms are renovated and I love that there isn't carpet. Staff is phenomenal, I left my daughters blanket and they called me right away so I turned around to get it. Really appreciate your honesty. Will be back definitely to stay here again and I highly recommend. Amazing staff. Thanks Thelma
