Horrible experience - ******* and this hotel falsely advertised a 5 person room, but only gave us a room where 4 could sleep (2 double/queen beds). We made a reservation for 5 adults several weeks prior, and the hotel staff even confirmed that our reservation was for 5 people. However, they would only gave us a room for 4 people, and were not prepared to give us a cot or a roll-away bed. It was Christmas Day and my family had traveled all the way from Indiana. It was 10 pm at night, and I begged them for an hour for a cot or a 2nd room so that 5 people could actually sleep, but they refused. My son ended up leaving and had to drive 30 minutes away to stay elsewhere. What scrooges! This hotel had plenty of free rooms available, and they openly admitted that the reservation was for 5 people, but they they would NOT fulfill the reservation. They expected me and my parents and my adult kids (all over 20 years old) to sleep 3 in a bed. REALLY??? - Who sleeps 3 people in a double/queen bed???

When we arrived in our 1st room, we noticed the sheets were stained, so we then moved to another room, we found that the toilet was loose, and very low. Towels were very stringy!
We did not appreciate that we had to walk by someone smoking by the door to get into the hotel.

The carpet was so dirty it turned our socks black. Garbage in the room wasn't changed. One dim light on the bathroom. No light in the shower. Pillows were horrible.

This was not our first time here, the new carpet and fresh paint really made the place feel newer. we will continue to return here for our stays when in the Madison area.

The good: My bed was very comfortable. There wasn't a lot of noise from adjoining rooms. Excellent water pressure and temperature.
The not so great: The room smelled very musty even after a thorough spray-down of Febreze. There was a lot of condensation/water on the top of the air conditioner. Not sure if the window leaked but clothes I had laying on the floor next to the air conditioner were wet. There's a lot of small trash/debris behind the nightstand. Makes me wonder how often they do a thorough cleaning of the room.
