This was the worst holiday we have been on, and we wanted to come home 3 days before the week had finished. so say it is a 4 star hotel, but at least 10 or more of us that week were saying that it should only be a 2 star. We had a lot of Cold or luke warm food that week, and a few times the food was overcooked, there was a good choice of food but I started to eat less and less, because as you walked by the food you could see how dry it was from being overcooked, we had to buy food out on our last day, because the wife had stopped eating the bad food. The rooms were dirty and never cleaned, only beds made and new towels. Our room had shabby carpets/ a cracked mirror / hair and dirt on the wall / thick dust on table/ dirty drawing on wall / a dirty bin with a used plaster stuck to the lid / a used coffee packet/ a dirty mug and condiment holder, with a long hair/ broken safe/ dirty toilet/ nail varnish and scratches on table/ a used complimentary shampoo bottle/ plug sockets hanging out of the wall. The reception staff were Unprofessional dressed most of the time and had no go in them, they were Unapproachable because they gave you the feeling that they were rolling their eyes up at you, they looked like they didn't care and as if to say not my problem, and they were always on their phones with no rush to put it down when you approached them.

Lovely hotel nice views brilliant staff. The food was lovely with a great choice. Small pool but right next to the beach. Rooms clean and tidy and Maria on reception always tries to help if she can. Everyone's friendly and the cleaners do a cracking job cleaning the rooms every day .

Just returned from Grand hotel and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The location is perfect as my partner has bad knees we didn't have to walk far as everything is on the doorstep. When I first read the reviews I though what on earth have we done booking this hotel but I suppose you can't please everyone. After all it is a 3* hotel and you get what you pay for. From the moment we checked in there was a lovely young man at reception which greeted us with a smile and checked us in quickly. Food was OK for 3* and I could always have something that I liked, it was always good quality food and plenty of choice especially the deserts. All staff work hard and always helpful in every department. Special mention to Stoil the pool barman, Valertina restaurant manager, Gloria and the lovely blonde lady on reception which was so helpful. We were in room 115 which was very spacious and very comfortable. My only gripe is that the lounge bar wasn't open until 12 like other hotels and the barman kept dissapearing and wondering off and we had to wait for drinks. However we will definitely be back next year . Thanks for a lovely holiday.

We are on our last full day of our two week stay and have to say when first reading reviews I was dubious about coming but was pleased we chose this hotel until this morning. We still have a full day here & they have now closed the pool bar & are packing away sunbeds. Which I think is really bad when you still have guests in the hotel & a few couples aren’t leaving for a couple of days!! Rooms - they are dated but (in my opinion) you don’t come on a beach holiday to stay in your room. Beds lovely & comfy. Bathroom is small and had a shower with a curtain. The shower curtain does have mould around the bottom. When In the shower if it’s on too strong water spills out to the bathroom floor. Cleaners are in everyday unless you put the sign on the door. Food - it’s all inclusive food & wasn’t too bad. Not the best I’ve had but certainly not the worst. They have a grill on the outside and they do some lovely burgers & freshly cooked pasta also. The cheese on toast at snack time was delicious. Staff - mostly very nice & friendly, the odd one or two are miserable and just look down on you. The Pool bar manager who we nicknamed “Stu” (just couldn’t get his name right) was really lovely and had a good laugh with him. Pool - it’s a small pool, but for the amount of people that were here it was fine. Freezing cold when you first get in!! If it’s a lovely sunny day then it does get a bit warmer later in the day. There was plenty of sunbeds so didn’t have to rush out to nab any first thing in the morning. The beach is literally just out the back gate and is lovely. Water is nice and warm. Waves can be a bit strong. Didn’t get sunbeds. Wasn’t paying the prices to lie on them for a few hours. Suppose it wouldn’t be too bad if you were there the whole day. Area - lovely central location. Out the back gate onto the ***** with loads of shops. 5 minute walk to flower street which is full of bars & restaurants. All in all had a good stay & only real complaint is the closing of the pool bar and packing sunbeds away when we don’t leave till tomorrow. Makes you feel like they want rid of you!

We paid a lot of money for this week's holiday and I personally don't think it was worth it the food wasn't great all inclusive our room wasn't great either especially the bathroom I reported to reception that the sink plug would not open and the water was coming out through the waste pipe and dripping on the tiled floor making it unsafe and slippery they said someone would fix it and they did fix plughole but not leaking waste pipe then when we had a shower today the water was pouring out from under the bath I went back to reception and reported this I was told someone was coming up to sort this out only to come back 6 and a half hours later to find it in exactly the same way it was flooded went back to reception at 12.25 just after midnight and no one about rang bell for service nothing so landed up taking bucket and mop and sorting it out myself. The bedroom and bathroom ceiling and walls had mould/damp on them and shower rail was rusty. We also needed a taxi one night and lady behind reception said a member of staff would take us who then charged us 25lev. I don't know weather its because its the Last week of the season but reception staff not very helpful. Restaurant and bar staff were opposite lovely people and very attentive.

Grand hotel… where do I start. If you’re after a holiday where you feel safe and welcomed. DO NOT stay here. I’ve been to sunny beach many of times and it is by far my favourite place! This hotel however was terrible. I came with my partner for 2 weeks. From the first day we didn’t feel welcome. We was greeted with a dry apple and croissant (which however we still thought was a nice gesture) whenever we walked past reception there was never a hi or anything, just evil looks. A couple of days in, me and my partner was leaving our room to go for some food and as we was leaving we let the maid in. We later came back to our room to discover my partners mental health medication from his bedside table was gone. We searched the room upside down and still nothing. We told the reception and they laughed in his face and automatically assumed they were illegal *****. (We had proof they wasn’t with his prescription) they then came into our room while I was undressed in bed and threw our clothes around to ‘help’ find the medication. They suggested that the maid had accident thrown them away. (I struggle to understand how it could be mistaken for rubbish) They then made my partner (a guest in their hotel) root through the huge outside bins, early hours of the morning, on his own bare handed while they stood and watched him. Honestly you couldn’t write it!! As he still had no look finding it, a member of staff then offered my partner some street ***** from (people she knew) which obviously he said no to. My partner has been on this medication for 3 years so for the next 2/3 days of our holiday he had withdrawals and struggled leaving the room. We had to tell the repetition that we didn’t want the maid (someone we are supposed to trust) cleaning our room. Therefore we had to do it ourselves for the rest of the holiday. We spoke to a couple more English people who also had had their meds taken. For the rest of the holiday, we was made to feel as if we had done something wrong and felt so uncomfortable every time we was near staff as they would s****** and speak in their own language to eachother. Please please don’t go to this hotel.
