Jaw dropping scenery ! We went end of season when it was very quiet. Location is fantastic, but you need to organise your own itinerary. Fabulous views from the restaurant and our room (we were lucky to get an upgrade is it was nearly empty). Room was fabulous, shower a bit slow, but it was spacious and had a lovely balcony to watch the inlet from. Staff were super friendly and wanted very much to help but can they deal with vegans? Sadly, not very well although they did try very hard. Lack of plant based protein until chef bought some tofu, and then it was tofu for every meal, sometimes twice ! Would have rated this 5* if the food had been better, but all in all a great place to stay.

I am confused as to why there are so few reviews online for WCWL. We had a 3 day package including breakfast and dinner. First off I want to say that the staff, without exception were polite, friendly and efficient. No complaints about the room, it was clean and had everything you might need (small with only one chair but two chairs on the deck). The meals, however, were a serious disappointment. .with items that ran the gamut from stale (granola, which was just oats with 3 sultana raisins) to inedible. Portion sizes? The beef tenderloin was 3 small fingers of meat, lamb - two of the smallest lamb chops I've seen, salmon was approximately 2 oz and the 8 oz of requested rare prime rib was perhaps 4 oz of well done beef, the yorkshire pudding was missed and should have remained so. . when it arrived it was a half of a pudding, hard with congealed cold gravy. The mashed potatoes and risotto (which I could not identify without consulting the menu) were also cold and inedible . . vegetables were tiny portions, overcooked and uninspired. The first night I received two pieces of beet - one was a quarter of a round slice cooked, the 2nd piece was a spear which was difficult to cut (barely cooked?) The second night I received a very small piece of overcooked broccolini. A $40 mandatory tip is included with your dinner and a $10 mandatory tip with breakfast. . To be fair the soup we had on both nights was delicious and served hot. .though the 2nd night the soup arrived without the accompanying 'crouton' (piece of toast). . though the couple dining beside us did. I requested a minor change in my breakfast which the server said would be no problem but when the meal arrived the request had not been accommodated and the server just said oh well! The third night of our stay, even though we had prepaid for the dinner meal ($120 is what I heard a server tell another couple who complained about the $40 tip), we could not face another inedible meal and ate instead next door at the BackEddy. Same great service but hot and fresh food! Even though most of our meals went back to the kitchen largely uneaten not one server asked us if there was a problem with the food. Note: I did not complain to the servers about the food as it was apparent that they did not have the capacity to 'fix' the problem . . if there was fresh fruit I never saw any of it . .a small thin slice of dry watermelon and a quarter of a round slice of orange was served with breakfast. Both appeared to have sat out for quite some time. Tried to reach the GM to discuss but he was 'too busy'. FYI book the boat tour of Jervis Inlet with Back Eddy. . $40 less per person for a covered, heated boat!

They charge you when you arrive for almost 2000 CAD. This would be canceled when you leave, but hey don't. Even when the hotel is paid upfront! You have to book at least 3 days. Since it is half pension, you have to eat in in the evening. The menu is very limited and you get the choose 5-course meal. If you are a picky eater, you have to eat 3 days in a row the same stuff. There is only a very limited choice per course. You would think that eating is for free, since you booked half pension. This is not the case. They charge you with 5 CAD per person for each course. They call it table service. This means for an dinner, you have 40 CAD for 2 persons (+ tax + tips to pay) They are apparantly afraid of asking 5 CAD per person for bringing bread to the table. In the end, you pay a lot of extra's which should be included by default. The soda's should be for free, however some waiters do charge you extra for this. Eating a 5 meal-course just takes away the hunger. It is barely enough. Rooms: very nice and good views. However no house keeping Parking at the cabins: very small, you need 30 min to get out of the parking if all parking spaces are used In the end : you pay lots of money extra for a very nice view and you get ripped of, from dusk till dawn.

Fantastic views, amazing food and a wonderful welcome. Damien also entertained us all with his tales too, thanks to all and I would highly recommend this lodge. Visited as a family to enjoy the area and walked to the falls, the nearby back eddy pub and the brilliant but basic small egmont village store.

Lovely place to stay! Super accommodating with special requests, absolutely amazing view from our room (cabin 5), staff are all great & very friendly. Would 100% recommend for a wilderness getaway! Kayaking was next door which we made good use of, pub next door was also super tasty. All round amazing experience here which we certainly won’t forget.

Location, location, location! What an amazing spot! The lodge is built to make the best of the location with stunning vistas across the water from the bedroom suites (which are huge) and the dining room and terrace. The service from the staff lived up to the backdrop - what an enthusiastic, attentive and friendly team - a real credit to the lodge. The food and drinks were great and my my only (minor) criticism would be that a bit more rotation of the menu would have been nice - probably not too big an issue though as I assume most guests only stay 2 pr 3 days. Really hope we will get the opportunity to return.

Our water-view room in building 2 had an incredible covered deck and a gorgeous bathroom. The bed, linens, furnishings, and window treatments were lovely and super-clean. The photos online do not quite do this gem justice. You have to see it in person to really experience the absolute beauty inside and out. The staff at the hotel and restaurant are excellent and very kind people. They are genuinely interested in their guests and take time to get to know you and your dietary needs and preferences. They also gave us great tips of things to do in the area such as the Skook and Klein Lake. We enjoyed six meals---three breakfasts and three dinners with top-notch service. The standouts at mealtime were the appetizers and desserts. We also enjoyed two great BC wines and had them keep our bottles behind the bar for us in between dinners. If they have the Bananas Foster pancakes in the morning, you would be a fool not to get them. They are amazing! We took the boat tour with Captain Charlie to the Princess Louisa Inlet and highly recommend this outing to everyone regardless of age and ability. It is a mostly calm boat ride that takes half a day and is worth every penny. The views are beyond incredible, and Charlie does a great job explaining the history and lore of what you are seeing, including petroglyphs. We appreciated the snack box at Chatterbox Falls---what a beautiful spot for a picnic! Thanks to everyone at WCWL for making our 25th wedding anniversary trip so memorable and amazing! We were so impressed with how well we were treated by all.

This place is really special with the extraordinary views at the dining room, which has great food and professional service. The room were nice, the showers are weird though. This really has a misleading name, you have to find your own adventure “wilderness”. There are third party boat rides available from another business’. The hotel didn’t offer any adventures independently. Otherwise, a nice stay in a beautiful place.
