had such a fantastic time at this hotel! It's conveniently located just a short 10-minute stroll from the metro station, and there are tons of cool spots nearby like The North Pagoda, Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Suzhou Silk Museum, all within a quick 10-15 minute walk. It feels like staying in a cozy guest house nestled within a family complex. The owner, a lovely lady, is super friendly and helpful. While the room has that charming old-school vibe, it's spotlessly clean and has everything you need, even a hairdryer. It totally reminds me of my grandma's place back in the day! Plus, there's a cute little mini library with some fascinating collectibles and a cozy tea house - perfect for some Insta-worthy snaps! Oh, and watch out for the three adorable cats who love to wander around and sometimes even pop into your room for a visit! You won't go hungry here either! Right next door, there's a fabulous café, and across the street, you've got a whole lineup of local food joints. And let me tell you, don't miss out on the crab noodle spot near the traffic light - it's absolutely divine! And if you're craving some fresh fruit, just head over to the fruit stand near the small bridge. They're open late - I swung by around 11 pm and they were still going strong! Just a friendly reminder: This hotel does have its Chinese name displayed at the entrance, no English. So, make sure to remember or write down that street number to find it easily next time! And you can bet your bottom dollar that if I find myself back in Suzhou, I'll be booking a room here again without a second thought!

Good place to try if you like to experience the traditional Suzhou style. Toilet floor is slippery when wet. The heater takes a while to warm up. Room and bed frame are relative small. Location is super idea as very near to places of attractions and good food.

Excellent location, the hotel is 10mins walk from all the main attractions. Lots of eateries and cafés around and the āyí who took care of the house was super nice. Hotel’s jn a small lane and shared courtyard with a few other locals’ homes but it was a very pleasant experience. Only thing is that the bed was a bit small. Overall it was very good

Tastefully decorated with great a**osphere. Their room is, actually, one of my favourites among my 2-week travel in China. The owner lady doesn't speak English but is kind and helpful. Close to subway station, "北寺塔" Bei****ao, and "拙政园" humble administrator's garden. There's no sign for the hotel on the street, though I managed to find it from the address.

Very pleasent stay in a lovely traditional setting. Perfect location, friendly owner/family. The courtyard cats add to the positive experience.

The lady was so nice. She gave us all the local spot recommendations and warned us what should and should not do. She also has 3 cats that are super cute and friendly.

Our family of four enjoyed our stay here. It was unseasonably cold though and the place felt cold. It's in a wonderful location to tour ancient Suzhou. We would stay here again.

Extremely pleasant stay, owners were very friendly and warm. Supples of amenities are well stocked and the cats here are very friendly. Very near (5mins walk) to the places of attraction and great food selection (non-tourist kind) just opposite! Will recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to stay here!

Good location with small local eateries on the street. Not far from metro. Comfortable place to relax and take it easy. Very homey. Okay

The room is very beautiful and the surrounding environment is good. It is close to Baoen Temple, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, Xuanmiao Temple, and Suzhou Station. The transportation is convenient and there are many restaurants around. The owner has three big fat cats with particularly good tempers.

Staying in a B&B tonight. A Su-style courtyard. Love it. When I was a child, I lived in my grandpa's house. The yard was full of flowers and plants. There was a grape trellis above my head. In summer, it was full of green grapes. My courtyard, Mr. Lu Xun's Baicao Garden, Xiao Hong's Biography of Hulan River, everyone has a garden in their memory.
