I had an early business appointment in Tacloban City couple of days ago that’s why I decided to stay overnight. The hotel is new and the room is not bad. I like the bed and the pillows! I was just disappointed when I requested for a fresh towel the next morning as the towel they set up was already dirty only to be told by the front desk lance that it is chargeable! ( When I declined to pay for the additional charge , he just said OK WELL NOTED!) … I cannot believe that they are charging for this. Not to mention he declined my request for an hour LCO and being told again it is chargeable. I know the Hotel was not fully booked and so I was asking nicely if possible. Moreover, to my surprised I was told that the breakfast is a buffet style but apparently not! I was in a hurry so I did not really pay attention more! I believe they could improve the service even more better. Yes I paid only 1800 room rate for a night but I guess I could have stayed much better somewhere else.

Mostly the staff were friendly and professional in their manner . The hotel has no restaurant or bar , the restaurant is not too much of a problem as Roberson shopping mall is next door , plenty of food thee , but the bar was , as we had to take a tricycle both ways to get a drink , we brought some takeaway alcohol back to the hotel , there is on the second floor an area to sit , so we thought we’d share a drink there before retiring for the night , but we were told in no uncertain terms that drinking was not allow except in our rooms which I thought was a bit rich , Over all the hotel was nice and comfortable nothing flash but the price matched the hotel , Worth a look when staying in Tacloban

I recently stayed at the Summit Hotel Tacloban , and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a great location, close to mall. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds, large TVs, and plenty of amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I especially appreciated the fact that they were able to accommodate my request for a late check-out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Tacloban. The hotel is luxurious, comfortable, and convenient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay there again. Now, that I am leaving for Canada, I will definitely miss everything in this place. Thank you Summit Hotel!

I really wanted to like this hotel. It’s near the airport, junior suites gives you a living room and you can close your bed room door for privacy. Non-suites have bedrooms and private restrooms but shared living rooms with other 2 rooms. There’s no cafe or resto, it’s plated breakfast served in your room. Service is fast and friendly. Receptionists are super stars, and housekeeping staff are helpful and efficient. Beds and pillows we’re comfortable, and the hotel design was nice. Cons though are - smelly drain/sewage, aircon at full blast and it was still warm, WiFi is slow but tolerable, Globe signal weak, you need to take a tricycle 10-15 minutes away to get to a good resto, water heater adequate but not fully functioning, they ran out of replacement towels and linens on our second night, I had to request for toilet paper and complimentary water for the second day. Overall, it’s an adequate hotel but needs facilities maintenance and better supplies. They lucked out on their staff as they are really amazing, intelligent, efficient, and dependable.
