Han She Business Hotel

Ximending Commercial Area Taipei|0.62km from Riverside Live House
We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.

Convenient transportation, warm service, clean room, good coffee, very close to the subway station, because the boss is enthusiastic, the second time staying, the room was very clean, but the air conditioner was a bit cold and not adjustable, there were more mosquitoes, and free coffee.

I can’t believe this hotel doesn’t have any reviews. We stayed here on our first trip to Taipei. We booked a room with a balcony. It was perfect for the two of us. Refridge, water, soap, shampoo, washing machine and a hostess that is outta this world quick to respond. We used the taxi service that they recommended and they were excellent. Excellent customer service, very clean, comfortable and safe. Elevator to get you to your room and they even stored our bags for us when we checked out. Plus, so many great things within walking distance. You certainly can’t go wrong here.

Lovely little hotel not far from the bustle of ximending resulting in a quieter nights sleep. Very well priced and run by a friendly grandma/pa couple. They don’t speak English but make up for it with effort. No room service so belongings felt safe left as is just ask for fresh towels if you need. Great room at this price no regrets! Why waste money at a fancier joint if you won’t be spending time in the room.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in Europe. Traveling again after Covid is released most hotels I’ve selects is IHG and Marriott .This visit stayed at W Hotel Taipei. Hotel supposed to be 5 stars as it was. Arrived hotel , concierge and Bell man approved immediately and good reception directed me to 10th floor to C/I . Receptionist is efficient and friendly. Visit Fitness and Spa Floor Manager is friendly and polite manner. Room nice and clean maid is friendly greeting . Next morning went to Breakfast, at 9 am many guests there due to a small area feel rush while having a meal. Hostess directions a table . I asked for a table near glass window but they informed that another’s guest sitting but see no one after 15 mins ask another waitress to move to that table but same answer was told . But still no one sitting there After 30 min. saw 2 guest went to sit there with by themselves and no-one informed them that table occupied as I was.Informed to female restaurant manager on situations but she doesn’t much respond or explain anything. A-bit disappointed. Next time this hotel may 2nd choice to visit. Hope this one matter even tiny matter from point of view of staff and Managers but it’s matters to me as services is not equal to another.
