This hotel was a little oasis. We were worried that Tamarindo was doing to be too busy and touristy but this hotel was located at the quiet end of the beach, which was only a short walk away. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. We traveled as a family and ate most nights at a little group of food trucks, which weren't as expensive as the beach restaurants. The pool was lovely to cool down in after spending the mornings at the beach. We were in a standard room on the bottom floor of the main building and couldn't hear our neighbours at all. In the day, there was some construction or maintenance going on, which was a bit loud but not too bad. In the evening the room was totally quiet. No traffic noise at all because the hotel is at the end of a little dead-end cul-de-sac. The room we were in didn't have blackout curtains, which allowed beautiful light. However, I recommend traveling with an eye mask because it gets light early. The air conditioner worked well, plus there was a fan, fridge, microwave and tv in the room. The hotel's front staff were very friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
