We love this hotel. It's quiet, quaint and clean. It is definitely showing signs of wear but apparently they are working on updates. The staff is great; attentive, helpful and professional.
We recommend staying her over the "chain" hotels in the area

Beautiful and quiet place. The room is roomy and bed is comfortable. Has a jacuzzi tub which was relaxing. Only issue is the room feels outdated but still comfortable

Quaint hotel in downtown Atascadero, walkable to great restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries. The rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. Staff was very friendly.

My only issue was t.v. remote with no guide so i had to go channel to channel. Other than that i always enjoy my stay at Carlton. Get the restaurant leased.

Hotel appearance was very elegant, the desk staff was courteous and pleasant upon our arrival. The room quality was very nice. Except for there were bed bugs in our bed that we caught and provided to the staff as proof of infestation.
We ended up having to cut our family visit short and left the hotel at 11:pm and drive home (400 miles) to disinfect our clothing and our selves.

The hotel is located in a cute area. Although we only stayed for the 1 night it was comfortable and felt safe. The deal attendant Lisa was so sweet when we got back to the hotel, chatting and making suggestions.
