Excellent service from a friendly hotel. I recommend the evening meal, superb for budget hotel. Highly recommended.

Excellant hotel, the price is higher than expected, had a small issue checking in, overall had a great stay.

Deserted reception didn't bode well. Rang for service thankfully all went well. Lovely lady checked me in and added a meal deal. Room standard as to be expected at Premier Inn. Added meal deal to booking and came down at 18.30 This is where it all breaks down. Only 2 staff - one of those was receptionist. Freezing cold air con. Food went cold. No bar . What you get on most meal deals at PI is first pint. Instead ended up with small bottle Peroni. If I want a pint going to cost me extra - a lot extra. As I drive for a living I am beholden to to how far I can go in a day. This was the only one available that I could legally drive to. Given a choice (work pays for it) I would go elsewhere. AVOID

Vicky, Megan,Amelia, Carol and all the rest, I didnt get all the names. Nothing was too much trouble, Sandra and I (Marian White) arrived as strangers but left as friends, I will be back. Thanks to you all, highly recommended. The food was excellent and the chefs would be more than happy to help with anything, they knew I wanted veggie sausages for breakfast as Carol always told them when she saw me arrive. Megan has not been there long but was so friendly, and Amelia always came to make sure everything was as we wanted. Vicky was always happy to help also. I will definitely be back.

Spotless clean large bright room nice bathroom the hotel is easy to find great location for touring About2 miles into Thirsk Plenty of parking and disabled parking We didn't use the bar or restaurant but looked clean and bright Would stay again

Just an overnight stop on the way further north, but to be recommended. Easy access from the A1, but also a good touring centre for Thirsk, Ripon and the North Yorkshire Moors. We stayed in a Premier Plus room which could not be faulted. Useful Aldi just across the road.

We have stayed in the Premier Inn Thirsk twice now and cannot fault it. Very clean hotel, ample parking and very friendly & helpful staff. We paid the extra for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Plenty of choice and even though it was extremely busy the service was not affected. Great little gem in the perfect location.

Nice comfortable, clean room . Good nights sleep on a comfortable bed. Cooked breakfast was not good. The bacon looked as though it wasn't cooked. It was also cold. We had toast and fruit the second morning as neither of us enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Everything else about the hotel was good: clean, the restaurant had nice food, the parking was great etc. Normal Premier Inn stock. UNTIL... we woke up in the morning after our one night stay to zero hot water. None. The taps in the bathroom were cold. So I went downstairs, spoke to a staff member to be told oh yes the boilers switched themselves off by mistake, she just popped them back on, give it 15 mins it'll be hot again. I thought ok, you know these things happen no bother. Half an hour later there was still no hot water. We obviously had places to be and I had no plans to spend the morning walking around a hotel in my jammies trying to find a staff member to talk about the temperature of water, so we boiled the tiny room kettle and just had a wash at the sink. No shower for us. On the way out upon checking out, my mum decided to complain about this situation. She got a completely different explanation, the manager saying that the hotel was full and the boiler was overloaded! It hadn't gone off at all. No apology either. It's literally a modern building. Absolutely baffling and shocking. Hot water is the least you expect from a hotel. I wonder if it's been fixed?? Either way the young, inexperienced, dishonest staff left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Definitely wouldn't return which is a shame.
