On the plus side, warm friendly atmosphere, nice happy staff in a beautiful pub ,a great pleasure being there for 2 nights. The minus is room 27 above the gents with a noisy air hand dryer going off every few minutes in the evening.

Have stayed several times over about 6 years - always good food and beer and friendly efficient staff - lovely location - a proper traditional English pub - I recognised local customers from previous stays so they keep coming back as well.
I would highly recommend.

Lovely Pub. Nice welcome. Very clean. Mixed opinions on food, some really good, some less so. Would stay again.

Everything about our stay was first class. All the staff without exception were very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. The food was also a very high standard. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful property with very friendly staff. They were great with my kids.
The beds are rather old and the sofa bed provided was not comfortable for my kids.

The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean with tea coffee and water. The windows opened wide which was great as it was very hot. A fan was provided in the room. There was lots o choice for breakfast though a muesli or bran flakes would have been nice. Times for evening meals were flexible and the menu was good. Even birthday cake and happy birthday sung !

Stayed here twice before, for a bike event, wanting somewhere relaxing to rest after event with good food and a few well earned beers - has hit the spot on each occasion. Traditional pub in a lovely setting, friendly staff and good beer - what more could you want!

Beautiful pub, in a lovely area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to assist. Would definitely stay again.
