Hotel Alpha Thun Reviews

Except for the bed, which is a small bed, the bathroom is well hidden and the overall size is relatively small. However, the hotel is in an excellent location, on the side of the road but not very noisy. When you walk out, there is a lake in front of you, so you can see the scenery of the lake and mountains.

Alpha Thun was a pleasant surprise. Our original booking of a different hotel in Interlaken was cancelled on us by the hotel and we scrambled to find another and this is what we found in Thun. The hotel is right next to the Strandbad bus stop, making it convenient to travel using bus. The room was clean, quaint, spacious enough, and decent looking. The hotel restaurant was great. The food selection was great. Our server, Pao, offered a few great suggestions for Schilthorn and the hiking areas around Murren and Gimmelwald. Since we love hiking, we followed her suggestions.

Have stayed here before and again had a wonderful stay. Great hotel, friendly, helpful staff, restaurant food is lovely, excellent, clean, comfortable room, really good value. Perfect location overlooking the marina and park and just 5 minutes on the bus into Thun centre. Buses every 10 minutes and included with the Panorama card given at reception. Cant fault this hotel and will always be my first choice.

Stopped off on our way to the Valais . Were content with our stay. Reception was friendly, beds were comfortable, parking opposite only 4 CHF for 24 hours. Breakfast was great, and we had a cup of tisane in the evening from the lobby after enjoying our meal in the hotel restaurant very much Pizza, fish bits and cordon bleu with a generous starter salad went down very well with a bottle of local wine (petite arverne) Staff obviously enjoy their job here. Would stay here again any time.

I just chose a cheap place to stay on a business trip. It's cheaper than the surrounding area, but it's better to think of it as just a place to stay. I don't know about other hotels in Switzerland, but I recommend bringing your own room wear, slippers, toiletries (service is provided, but they sometimes forget to replenish), and water. Security is just a key. The code for the main entrance is updated every week, but I was locked out once because I didn't hear anything.

The hotel met all expectations. The only thing is that there is no seating if there are three people in the room.

In the hotel where the three of us spent 300 Euros per night it seems like a lot to have a small room without air conditioning and 3 camp beds since the last time I slept on something like this was during the summer.

Parking nearby and not at the hotel. No air conditioning or fan with the last difficult heatwaves! Noisy ! Basic breakfast without the possibility of breakfast outside according to management orders. Friendly staff. Average stay.

When I sat down on the open terrace I first had to wait 15 minutes before I was greeted with the words "what do you want". No good morning, hello or welcome. When my cappuccino was placed on ch without a word, the optimum of one star was clear. you don't. I can not recommend this company because of rudeness!

Aging hotel, on the edge of the cantonal road. Top price high compared to the quality offered. TV not functional (not important, of course) but dirty toilet in the bathroom, reception staff... unwelcoming and cracked mirror in the bathroom.

As the organizer, I accommodated a whole dance company with 26 dancers in Hotel Alpha. The staff was very flexible in responding to requests and cooked a great meal for the whole group after the performance. The company was very satisfied with the accommodation and appreciated the pleasant, uncomplicated hotel service.

I wasn't expecting much but it's outrageous even considering it's cheap. I didn't have many expectations but the room wasn't clean and neither was the shared shower. It was musty in the room and there were cobwebs by the window. There was hair in the shared shower (not my own) It's bearable for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer. I don't know anything about breakfast, I didn't use it.
