Hotel Arunachala

The room was very comfortable. I was very impressed with how much care the staff took in keeping the hotel clean. Renovations on the first floor created a lot of dust, but they ***aged to maintain sparkling floors. The attentive reception was a welcome change to our other experiences here in India. They made great efforts to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location is the best as it is located in front of the main temple with a coffee shop at the base of the hotel steps. The hot shower, fast WiFi and great A/C were an added plus! And we were able to park our rented motorbike in the hotel parking garage at no cost. While we didn't visit the hotel restaurant, they had an appealing selection of vegetarian meals and the area looked just as clean and inviting. I highly recommend this hotel for budget-minded travellers looking for a safe place to retreat to during your stay.

Excellent staff. Very prompt and helpful. Rooms good. Tea coffee bar is good. Meals are good value for money but limited menu. Hotel is next to the huge Lord Shiva temple complex housing a Jyoti Ling. Lots of rickshaws are in front of the hotel.

I was requested by my friend to kindly help his wife and her friends who are in their retirement age for 1 night accommodation during a long weekend followed by Pournami. As we know, *********a is usually packed during Pournami, and one can imagine the crowd, when a long weekend followed by Pournami.. Even though I cautioned those elderly ladies, they were somehow keen to attend during this time, as they wouldn't get holidays in near future and they are about to retire. They just requested me to help with 2 rooms for these 4 ladies for a night stay.. While I tried several places and couldn't succeed, I was very inspired by the response from Lokesh and Sandhya of Hotel *********a.. They somehow ***aged and helped these elderly ladies with a comfortable stay. My sincere thanks to Lokesh and Sandhya for their timely help and support during this peak times... I would recommend guests to stay at this place and experience the hospitality of the ***agement of Hotel *********a..

One of the hotels very near to the temple.. that’s an main advantage..apart from that there is nothing to say.. rooms are low in maintenance.. very high prices for this kind of room…not even they provide toothpaste,toothbrush for this high tariff… traiff looks in range of star hotels but not in comfort levels.. so choose the correct one before you spend your money.. it’s my experience I wanted to share to you all, where i stayed there..

Avoid at all costs. We’re promised a room for 3 people and on reaching, the room only had 2 beds. After a lot of argument they finally gave a mattress to be put on the floor. This was flatly refused by us. Lots of persuasion later, they gave a cot and a mattress. We also had to book a separate room for the driver, while most hotels provide it free for the driver. Hotel is well located but very poorly ***aged and deceptively ‘decent looking’ from the outside. DO NOT STAY HERE!

For the high price they are charging and marketing this hotel at 3 star . There is not even hot water facility . We did not get hot water any time of the day . Fell sick with fever by the time came back home . They did not even bother to arrange and got very angry when I was trying to request at least a bucket of hot water . The entrance is dusty and dirty and the corridors seem like haven’t been mopped since ***y ages . Not very hygienic and no parking space. Very curt and disrespectful staff . In the core of south India these guys make noodles and fried rice for lunch and for a coffee at room they will not even leave the door till you make immediate payment . Very poor experience. Better see another place nearby

I stayed in this hotel last week for 2 nights and paid 6500 inr for a room. The facility is poorly maintained with really substandard bathrooms and bedding. This is probably one of the few hotels that still has cathode ray TVs. There is no wifi and no room service before 8am if you need any extra towels. No coffee either if their staffs are working on a huge order that came to their restaurant. It really shows how poorly this facility is ***aged. Parking and hotel access: If you are planning to drive, please look for another place to stay. I spent an hour looking for a way to get into the vada sannnithi street. There is an auto stand that completely blockades this street and its incredibly hard to know it's an entry to the street unless you are a local. Also there will be a no entry board which you are supposed to ignore to get into this street. The hotel staffs were completely unhelpful when you call for directions or drive to their back gate asking for directions or access. They do not have a lot of area to park cars. There is a gate through which one car can enter and 5 cats can be parked in a single line. My car was stuck in the last and had 4 other cars in front of me while checkout. I had to wait 45 mins to get access to my car as they didn't have a driver to move those cars out and clear a space for me take my car. They let this happen even after I preemptively let them know my checkout time the day before I left. This hotel is definitely bad for such a poor service they offer for a really high price. Spare the headache and find a better place to stay.
