The environment is elegant, clean, and incredibly quiet. Stepping right out, you're in the ancient city, which is super convenient. The only downside is there were too many mosquitoes!

This hotel within the ancient city truly exceeded my expectations! The service was excellent, and they even upgraded my room. Parking was super convenient, and the breakfast spread was rich and varied. It was so easy to explore the ancient city from here. I got to try the most authentic sour soup fish and grilled fish – Tongren is absolutely beautiful!

Overall, I was very satisfied with everything. My only suggestion would be for the hotel's main entrance to be closed or guarded. Currently, it feels completely open to the ancient city area without any separation. This makes the privacy feel quite low, and at night, I worry about safety since there's no clear barrier from the outside. I also saw pictures of the previous lobby, which looked beautiful, and I'm curious why the lobby location was changed.

The hotel is located within the ancient city walls, and for long periods, vehicles aren't allowed to enter. You have to use the parking lot, which is a maze in itself. For out-of-town visitors, communicating this to a driver is a huge hassle. Coming from the high-speed rail station, our driver had no idea where the hotel was. Following the hotel's address on the navigation just dropped us off at an intersection, and we had to wander through the underground parking lot for ages, feeling like we were in a labyrinth. Because of this location, the soundproofing is terrible; we heard loud music from outside all night long. The hotel boasts a Suzhou garden-style architecture, but it's really just a facade. The cleanliness of the interior facilities is frankly disappointing. In just one night, we encountered several frustrating issues: 1) The bathroom floor drain had a constant foul odor. 2) The curtains were incredibly dirty, dusty, and smelled strongly. 3) The room's facilities are outdated. The hairdryer provided upon check-in was broken. We communicated with the front desk and got a replacement, but its power was so low it was infuriating. I can't believe a hotel in this day and age would still provide such a useless piece of junk. The service, to be fair, was decent. The night before check-in, the hotel called me at 9 PM to add them on WeChat, and their subsequent service responses were quite prompt. Judging by its star rating, this hotel should be one of the better ones in Tongren, but its actual quality barely measures up to a three-star. While you shouldn't expect too much from a hotel costing around 300+ yuan a night, basic hygiene and infrastructure were subpar. For a leisure trip, it's hard to imagine enjoying your vacation here. For a business trip, the difficulty of access and the noise level definitely don't make it a good choice.
