This review is based off my own experiences during a 10 night stay with my family in April & May 2024. Location - 8/10 If you want access to the beach then this hotel couldn’t be better situated. There is a door in the pool area which takes you straight out to the beach front. Distance to centre of town is about a 30 minute walk, which isn’t a problem for myself or my family but could be an issue for others. Room - 5/10 The rooms are ok, but a bit on the small side. There is a fridge, safe, balcony and TV, but no tea or coffee making facilities. A table is provided but no chairs. The bathroom is a good size but the shower is low powered and has inconsistent temperature. The toilet in our room also had a broken flush, which came off each time it was used. The walls are paper thin, so expect a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms and corridors. There is also only 1 plug socket in the entire room, so I recommend packing an extension cord. Overall the rooms serve its purpose as a place to change and sleep, but there’s not much reason to be in there otherwise. Staff - 6/10 The staff are a mixed bag. Some are super friendly and accommodating. Others are abrupt and rather rude. For example I heard a barman say to someone waiting to be served “hello, hello, is anyone at home!” after they hadn’t hear him call them. This wasn’t said as a joke either, but rather insultingly. Reception staff are helpful and polite but so slow. For example we stood waiting for 20 minutes to speak to someone, and only had 2 other people in front on us. There always seems to be a queue in reception no matter the time of day. Staff in the dining area are rushed off their feet and clearly understaffed. There is also a guy taking drinks orders who doesn’t hide the fact he hates his job. No matter what anyone orders he appears so annoyed at having to serve customers. Cleaning staff do a good job but we did have an issue when they had missed our room altogether on one occasion and also we discovered they had been using our toiletries in our bathroom. Food & Dining - 2/10 I’m sorry to have to be so negative and I’ve really tried to be as positive as I can be, but I have to be completely honest and say that it is not good. Before I go onto the food, the dining area needs to be redesigned and re thought out. It is a complete mess in its current form. The dining area is vast, and can seat hundreds of people at any me time, but the hotel is clearly not able to adequately cope with the demand this brings. The serving areas are not of adequate size or quantity for the amount of diners in the room, leading to people standing around, fighting to get to food. For popular items people would be stood queuing and often by the time we reached the front the food had run out and then had to wait for it to be replenished. Despite its size, finding a free table was often a task in itself. The dining area fills up quickly, so prepare to walk around aimlessly trying to find somewhere to sit. T
