Tokyo Daiichi Hotel Tsuruoka

It was very good. I would like to give it all a 5 but hope it gets better.

It is directly connected to the bus terminal, so it is convenient for walking trips. Since it is the first stop, you are sure to get a seat. Tsuruoka Station is also a 5-minute walk away. The shopping mall has a large *****tore and supermarket, which is convenient. There is also a large hot spring bath. However, there are some drawbacks. Perhaps because the facility is old, the air conditioning is not very effective. In summer, it is better to avoid rooms on the west side, which are hot until night, and to choose a room on the east side. You can see Mt. Gassan and Mt. Chokai from the east side. Also, I think this is also because the facility is old, but there are rooms that have a bad smell, whether it is from the vent or the drain. It is better to request in advance that this be avoided. Many reviews recommend the annex, but the room grades are the same in both the main building and the annex. The large bath is in the annex, but you have to go to the front desk on the first floor every time you want to use it, so it is the same hassle as the main building.

The hotel room itself is old but clean. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast and variety were quite delicious. I parked my motorcycle near the hotel entrance, and it was very bright, so I thought there would be no theft, but someone removed the cover on the side bag and looked inside. There was a security camera, but it seems that it was in the shadow. It would be better to warn people that the camera is in operation with a sign or sticker.

The room had been renovated, so it was very clean. I wanted to take a bath in the hot spring and sauna, so I booked the annex side where I could go directly. The bath area didn't seem to have any light novels, but it wasn't dirty and I was able to relax. Tsuruoka isn't particularly good for access to the airport, so if you don't have a car you'll need to take a bus, but you can get on and off the bus right next to this hotel, which is great. There's also a train station just a short walk away, and there are plenty of places to rent bikes and cars nearby. This is a choice you won't regret.
