Great hotel. Maybe not the first news, but cleanly, the service is friendly and the food is delicious. A big plus for a bicycle storage box equipped with stands, and a dedicated socket for chargers for each of them. Opened and closed by the staff.

We were part of a Titan tour group and arrived shortly after 10pm on 3rd June. A few staff members were on hand to ensure we were well looked after. The hotel was busy but the staff ensured we were well looked after. The food (self service) was fresh and prepared well. They catered for every need. The rooms (we were in 516 top floor sea view) were OK. Clean but dated. The staff again did a great job, kept everything perfect. The reception staff were fantastic. We had issues with our door electrics which after 3 attempts sorted, apologised for the inconvenience. The location is absolutely perfect for evening walk along the seafront. We also took a cliff side walk from Tucepi to Makarska which I would highly recommend. Beautiful stunning scenery! If you are fortunate enough to stay at this hotel, you will love it. Great location, lovely food and fantastic staff. Thank you all at the Bluesun Alga.

Hotel Alga is 1.2hours from Split airport, and about 1 hour from Split centre. Dubrovnik is over 2 hours away. There isn't a huge amount to do around Tucepi, but for a relaxing holiday around the pool and beautiful beach right outside the hotel, its a great spot. You should visit Makarska, its a pretty harbour town. Hotel is very clean, you don't seem to get any bugs or bites in Croatia. We had 3 bites in total between 5 people staying for a week. Gym is acceptable as is the indoor pool, but who goes on holiday for that? :) Hotel lifts were fine, I cannot understand the bad reviews on them? Wifi is sometimes patchy at peak times, but generally acceptable in the two rooms we had (4G worked perfectly where wifi didn't reach). Outdoor pools were great, having a verity of size pools helps with children. We never had a problem getting sun loungers. Staff were fine, just takes a little getting used to the Croatian way. Its not all smiles and giggles like in the UK, but professional enough. We had bed and breakfast, which I found to be great. Considering they're catering for many cultures, they do ok. Most days I ate bread or toast, hash browns, bacon, omelette or fried egg, or cereal. The baked beans were about 70% like UK beans, so were fine. You can choose fruit. cheeses, sausages, cake? Loads of choice. Coffee needs improvement in Tucepi though! Its weak for my liking. Best coffee I found was the first restaurant on the left outside the hotel. They do great icecream and coffee. The filter coffee and nescafe at the hotel though was good though, I just prefer espresso myself. For dinner, we ate out at restaurants (not at the hotel). If you like seafood, pizza, fries and bolognaise, you're good. Otherwise, the menus could do with expanding throughout Tucepi. We had no need for a safe, but one was provided in the room. Assume you have to pay for use. The mini fridge works just about, but enough to cool water. Tap water is fine to drink by the way, we're all still alive. Aircon is below par, but included in the room we had (deluxe superior), maybe not good enough when its over 30 oC outside though? Overall, very clean and tidy. Enjoyable stay. Very comfortable beds, which is rare! Shower and toilet were presentable and working great. Wifi good enough. TV had BBC NEWS in the room. All happy and would return to the hotel, but perhaps not to Croatia, I don't think the locals like tourists!

Amazing hotel with such a perfect service, everything clean, delicious food, cakes and ice cream for children, stumning beachview from the restaurant, lovely pools, pilates and other exercise in the morning, hotel close to the small centre. I really recommend!

Stayed here for 2 nights with RSD travel. This is a huge hotel. Nice rooms. Hotel right on the beach. Food good, nothing special but always something to eat. Rooms spacious. Bed comfy for 2 nights. Only issue was about 300 football fans up partying all night. Didn't affect us personally, but a lot of guests not happy at all.

My sister and I decided to do a little week long getaway. We attended in September 2023. Upon arrival, we weren't met with the most welcoming experience from the reception staff, despite us trying to be as friendly as possible. It felt weird straight off the bat, like they seemed okay until we spoke. We shrugged it off as we had already had a long day of travel and were tired and hungry and just wanted to get to our room to relax. I showed all our information and booking confirmation to which they said there wasn't a booking for us. It didn't seem as though they were going to do anything about it until I prompted them as I again got out all our information to show we had indeed booked a room. Our booking was through TUI, so they said they would call TUI to see what happened and that they would get back to us in 15 mins so we could go sit at the bar and wait. We said okay and went to sit down (the bar is just across from reception so we could see them, and they could see us). There was no one else at the bar. 15 minutes came and went, and the staff just seemed to be chatting to each other. No one came over to us or waved us over. We got up and went back to reception to try to find out what was going on. The guy said he found our booking but the room wasn't ready so we would have to wait another half and hour for it to be cleaned. Okay. We sat down again, this time just the other side of the double doors to the pool area so we could sit outside. Again, nothing. No staff came over. I had to go back in again to ask for an update, and the guy at the desk said, "What?" Loudly when I asked... like he had no idea what I was talking about. The woman on the phone next to him stopped and said, "Oh yeah, the rooms ready, here," and handed him the room key and card. He then told us how to find our room. We went upstairs to our room and to be honest, I can't fault the room. It was lovely and clean. We had twin beds, a sofa (that pulled out into another bed, a balcony, TV, desk, fridge, and private bathroom. Everything was very well taken care of, and the shower was nice and large. We settled in and decided to relax till dinner. Dinner was really nice the first night. We really liked the pulled pork wraps! But we quickly found out that drinks, even tap water, weren't included in half board. No bother, the staff were quick to approach you to ask if you wanted a drink, and they would bring it over to your table. However, they are expensive for a small tango or coke. As the week went on, the buffet got very samey. Seemed they repeated a lot of meals, and we were a bit disappointed. There wasn't a lot of flavour, and every salt shaker there didn't produce salt despite sitting on a different table every morning and evening. They all seemed blocked, which was a slight annoyance. We started to not look forward to dinner. It just kind of turned into something we needed to do but didn't look forward to the options. Also, as someone who is dairy free, it could be di

The average hotel is more for 3 stars. The hotel is in a good position, but they still need to work on the quality and the rooms, the room I stayed in was very small but extremely cold and even if the air conditioner was turned off, the room was still cold because the air conditioner was constantly blowing. The hotel staff is very friendly, the food is ok, you can really find everything to eat, I had a full board with one drink, it's not bad and the food is ok. I will not review the hotel again unless they renovate it, the hotel really does not look close to a 4-star hotel. Luckily, I was only there for one night, if I had booked more nights it would have been a nightmare.

Did not enjoy our stay here. While property is nice, it was extremely busy. Food is average. Air conditioning is terrible- we moved rooms twice and it was still too hot. Manager did try to make things right but an overall very disappointing experience. Waited over an hour to get through to room service (no answer) and then they forgot utensils. Would not recommend at all.

Great place to stay. Great facilities. Rooms were updated and clean with a great view of the pool and Adriatic. The beach is directly in front of hotel and one has a choice of enjoying the beach or pool. Very friendly staff all around, rooms were cleaned daily. The all-inclusive drink options are limited and the dining options could have varied a bit more. The layout of the hotel, stairs and elevators is not ideal, if traveling with a stroller one has to change 2 elevators to get to Restaurant level and the kiddie pool is elevated and not exactly accessible with a stroller.

Nice hotel with a good location in Tucepi, a bit crowded on the beach. Recommend that you go further down the promenade if you don't want to be crowded. The food is OK, nothing special for a **** hotel. The hotel has a cozy bar along the beach promenade which is recommended. The balcony could not be used in the afternoon/early evening due to the sun. We had rooms with a limited sea view.
