Almost at the end of the holiday I want to leave a review after a beautiful evening in the pool. I went to congratulate the singer because she sang for over two hours without ever stopping a song more beautiful than the other making us dance, I asked her how long she had been singing and she told me for almost 30 years and that she was a chorus of Albano ... the famous Albano ... if you pay attention to these details and do not leave things to chance as they do in many places where in the summer there are people taken by chance from the street then you are really exceptional. Above all, there are sometimes bad musicians and no one thinks of us that we have to listen to them. I wanted to write it. It was a great holiday and this evening the icing on the cake.

Very good all in hotel for families with children. Good entertainement in the evening and over day. Comfortable rooms and bathroom with shower big enough. It should be appreciated when animators could speak french and english above the standard used german and italian language. Possibility of renting a car for an acceptable price to visit Lecce, Alberobello and Matera (European cultural capital in 2019 - James Bond No Time to Die-scenes). In 2019 we went to Robinson Club Quinta da Ria in Portugal which was also in the same line as Apulia.

We had a fantastic time at Robinson Apulia. We travelled from the UK with Tui to Brindisi airport. Everything ran smoothly from booking to being transferred to the hotel. We arrived late at night and ate on the plane as we didn't expect to be offered anything at the hotel so late. How wrong we were. After we had checked in, a lovely staff member directed us to the main restaurant where we were presented with a lovely selection of meats, cheeses, breads, and bottles of water. While we were eating, our cases were delivered to our rooms. This excellent service set the scene for our entire holiday. ROOMS We were in Siena block which is a nice stroll to the main complex. The blocks are spread over the complex, each set amongst beautifully maintained gardens. We'd booked a family room as we have two teenage boys and as much as we love them, we didn't relish the thought of sharing a double room with them. This was a great solution as it meant we had separate bedrooms and more space thanks to the living room area. If you can stretch to a family room I'd really recommend it. The rooms are quite basic but very comfortable. We had sun loungers and deckchairs on the large balcony and there is also a clothesline outside for drying swimming clothes. The housekeeping service was very good and prompt. We had the rooms cleaned and towels changed every other day. Robinson's is a very environmentally-friendly hotel and does all it can to encourage you to protect the environment. Other points to note about the room: plenty of charging points with USB ports, good AC, a fridge, a TV in the main bedroom and living room, and good blackout curtains. RESTAURANTS Robinson Apulia offers three restaurants: the main restaurant, the trattoria, and the pizzeria. The main restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes. From pasta and tacos to roast beef and healthy options, there is something for everybody. There is also a vegan section. Health and wellness are a big thing at the hotel, so if you are watching what you eat or trying to have a healthy day here and there, you'll have no problem finding some good food that's also good for you. We on the other hand were not in that category and enjoyed all the buffet had to offer and then some! The parmesan cheese wheel is the stuff of legends! After your meal, don't forget to grab a bottle or two of water for your room from the fridges. You'll also find these fridges scattered around the hotel in various locations, including the main bar and trattoria. It does get busy during high season, but just wander around and you'll come across a table. We were a party of 7 in total and never had any real problems. There is also an 'overspill' section that they open up on particularly busy nights. The pizzeria is fine. We ate here for a couple of nights. The pizzas are good and there is also a small salad bar. I agree with a previous reviewer in that it could be in a nicer location. It would be great out by the piano bar for example wh

Very nice FAMILY hotel, not great for couples. The food was exceptionally good for an all inclusive resort, the resort although lovely is very isolated with no public transport readily available, Taxi fares very very expensive!! both weekends we were there were very busy, as it was coming towards end of season we always found beds around the pool and on the beautiful beach, shouldn’t imagine it’s that easy in main summer months. The downside for us was the lack of staff not being able to speak English I attended Pilates day after we got there and instructor spoke only German and Italian this was for me very annoying as we booked this hotel due to sports activities but did not go to any others after this first experience, we went on a Tui excursion and again the guide spoke in German and Italian she did try a bit of broken English!! but we gave up trying to understand the history of the buildings etc We didn’t bother going on any others and glad we had not pre booked more. If the hotel wants English guests they need to up their game and employ staff who are able to understand what we are asking for!! having travelled worldwide often to remote countries as well as different regions of Italy many times we have never encountered this level of non English being spoken

Room was ok to be honest but definitely didn’t reflect the price paid to stay there. My main beef is with the restaurant staff that were totally unprepared to recommend people with different dietary requirements request what to have. One of the night I have stayed in your village I asked one of the so called chefs if a certain pasta was suitable for vegetarian as it stated it was a mushroom ragù pasta. The person behind the counter told me just to read the little card. I then pressed him and asked him again as it wasn’t clear for me if a mushroom ragù had meat or not and he told me just not to have it and pointed me to a different dish I didn’t fancy. I skipped the station with the different types of pastas on offer as I didn’t want to risk eating anything containing meat. I was disappointed that in this day and age the staff doesn’t get properly trained on different dietary requirements.

Excellent stay!! Rooms are basic but clean and beds really comfortable. Entertainment was great although wasn’t presented in English but that wasn’t a problem. DJ every night playing brilliant music. Danced all night every night and my 13 & 15 year old loved it. Then onto the night club which opens at 11:30pm. Beach is gorgeous and sea is warm. Restaurant on the beach was lovely and the bar serves everything and all branded drinks. We hired a car for the day as there isn’t much outside hotel. Made a picnic at breakfast and took bottles of water too. We were one of roughly 5 English families at the hotel, mostly Italians and German stay here and most of the staff do not speak English but they really try and are helpful, we still got by and loved every single minute. Unsure of the dirty negative reviews. I found this place really clean and do not have one negative review and I am very fussy!!

An excellent place; I'd single out the quality of service and food. The latter is perhaps the best we've had at an all-inclusive; the beach trattoria is the place to eat for lunch and dinner; you have to reserve early on the day for the evening. Not many Brits here - not a problem, as the Germans and Italians are lovely. But if you want lots of 'Brits abroad' atmosphere (and I'm sometimes a fan) then this isn't the place for you. It's in the middle of nowhere, but the beach is superb, so a great place to just relax. German manager was always friendly and checking on one's enjoyment. I found the place very clean and so well-run. Don't understand the comments about the messy pool area - it's not.

I write this review with mixed feelings. We stayed in Catania 2 bedroom apartment on first floor. Pros The resort grounds are fantastic, so much green around and a lot of shade from the pine trees. The grounds are generally kept clean or at least were clean the first week but on the second week we found a lot of cigarette butts around and dirty plates . The rooms are cleaned daily (have option not to have it cleaned daily, however there’s always a pool of water in the bathroom every day we took a shower as water has nowhere to go which makes it slippery and especially with young kids, we had to use our towels to dry the floor which meant we needed more towels every day. Sorry we could not help the environment otherwise. Food Admittedly there are 3 restaurants on site. The main restaurant by the main pool with no sea views . The Trattoria with beautiful sea views and the Pizzeria which I never got the chance to test it as it was either closed or not able to book so I can’t vouch for the pizzeria. The food is very good and plentiful . The drinks are nice too. Barista coffee from 7:30am to 10pm but they still didn’t make my macchiato or cappuccino properly.. either no foam or too much milk! Come on we’re in Italy?! As the say goes.. in Italy if you ask for a latte you will get milk, so ask for a latte macchiato and you will get an English latte 😆 Beach The beach is shallow, sandy and safe for the kids. There are life guards around but with so many people with kids on the beach I would recommend you always check on young kids. I didn’t take the risk. Excursions We did the day catamaran cruise sailing around to Maria di Leuca. Highly recommend it! Although the wine served was very cheap.. it didn’t spoil our trip . It was fantastic overall. My 9 year old daughter said the best boat trip ever 😂. Take water with you .. Excursion to Alberobello & Ostuni It’s a very long trip..all day and in the heat. If you have young kids don’t do it especially in the heat, it’s a killer. 8am to 7:15pm We didn’t know this but we thought we were led to believe by Tui rep that a bus would pick us up from the resort which takes 2hrs but this is not the case. We’re picked up by a car ( no child seats provided and they wanted to put my 5 &9 year old in the front passenger seats- thanks but no thanks) took us to Lecce and there we waited for another bus to pick us up and off to Alberobello. The journey took 2.5 hours each way and due to the heat it wasn’t very enjoyable. Also the few restaurants in Alberobello we found so so, ignorant/rude staff and took ages to serve food/drink. We checked a few restaurants and the menu was not appealing. Ostuni on the other hand was much nicer but again arrived there at 3pm in the heat and took the goodness out of it. . At this point I just wanted to get back to the resort, sweating buckets! If it’s May/June time it may be easier and nicer to do the trip . Language Some people had commented on the language barrier. We have mixed feelings regarding our family holiday in Robison Apulia (kids 7 and 11). The positives were that the food is generally very good (buffet meals) and the entertainments were quite varied. The negatives relate to the condition of some parts of the hotel and the cleanliness / litter. GENERAL OBSERVATIONS If you are looking for the sort of holiday where you can drop your kids in to a kids club for a morning or afternoon - unless they are very young then this is NOT the hotel for you! Activities are generally in Italian or German and also divided by age so if you have siblings a few years apart they might be in different groups. Also bear in mind that as 80% of guests at this hotel are either Italian or German speaking this means that all the shows in the evening are in German and Italian without translation into any other languages. LOCATION The hotel is about an hour and 15 minutes taxi transfer from Brindisi airport. There's not much in walking distance from the hotel so unless you do an organised trip or hire a car it's unlikely you will leave the resort. The beach is sandy and generally pretty clean and gently sloping into the sea. It has lifeguards who seemed to be paying attention. The sea to the hotel beach does get some sea**** and it also gets quite a few beach vendors selling everything from hair braiding to inflatables, necklaces and fruit. If you have kids you can find that the vendors bother you a bit to buy stuff from them. It would be good if the hotel could police the beach vendors better. ROOMS The accommodation is generally in two-storey, concrete blocks - I'm guessing from the 1970s or 80s. There is a three-storey element near the entrance. Quite utilitarian rooms, they could do with a bit of an update. In our room the chairs in the living room were stained, I found a pair of kids knickers under the bed. The shower room was very dated, towels not big enough. The pedal bin didn't work in the bathroom. One of the pop-up plugs in our sinks was also broken. There are no toiletries provided - it's just pump shampoo / body wash gel on the wall of the shower and pump soap near the basin.s There's no kettle or coffee machine in the rooms but you can hire a coffee machine for a fee. No mini bar, a small fridge which you could stock yourself. The terraces were very stark, two deckchairs for a family room (no loungers, no tables) and they blocks are quite close together (maybe 10m between terraces) so you don't have much privacy on the terraces. We stayed in Roma in a two-bedroom apartment. and there was quite a lot of noise from 11pm - 1am (sometimes later) - I think sometimes this was from the hotel itself, sometimes it was from the beach parties and sometimes it was from the adjacent Victor Village hotel. I would recommend bringing ear plugs. The a/c was OK but we had it on max for the whole of our stay and even though it was only about 30'c during the day it sounds as though it was struggling. I w
