Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel

Good hotel for Venice. The room isn't large, but it's clean. The hotel is close to the train station.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Lucca train station. The hotel is modern with a lovely little garden nestled in greenery outside, right by the canal. The interior decor is very tasteful, and cleanliness is, of course, top-notch. The staff are friendly and even provided a complimentary box of water. From the room, you can catch glimpses of gondolas slowly passing by through the dappled shadows of the trees. It would be even better if the towel rack was heated. All in all, it's highly recommended.

The most satisfying and surprising hotel of our entire Italy trip! It's located on Venice's main island, and although you have to cross two bridges, it's not too tiring if you're each carrying one suitcase. The hotel is very new and comfortable, but the best part is the bathtub! You know how amazing it is to soak in a tub after walking all day in Italy, right? Most other hotels on the main island with bathtubs are either very old 5-star establishments or incredibly expensive. The breakfast was much better than what we read in previous reviews – very rich and diverse, with many different flavored croissants and even fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. A real pleasant surprise! In the afternoon, the bar downstairs also offered small snacks, and the sparkling water at the front desk was delicious. It was unexpectedly wonderful; on our second day, we even stumbled upon a flock of ducks in the courtyard. A guest jokingly asked, "Are those for dinner tonight? lol"

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to major transport hubs. Just a heads-up, there are a few bridges to cross, so be prepared if you have luggage, or you can ask for help carrying your bags to the hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the room was very new and clean. Slippers, toiletries, and complimentary unlimited water are provided. They even knew it was our honeymoon and specially arranged wine and decorations for us! We're absolutely thrilled with this hotel – highly recommend it! 🫶🏻

The bed was too soft, and the noise from people drinking outside at night was really disruptive, going on until around 3 AM. It really affected my sleep.

Perfect location 😍 The hotel was clean, but the breakfast options were a bit limited.
