At the center of Venice. Very good location and Service. Will choose it again.

It's far away and the service is mediocre, similar to a B&B.

The hotel is very close to the water bus station, but it is a little far from the railway station, fifteen to twenty minutes on foot, and half an hour by boat. However, the interior of the hotel is like a garden. It is a single-family wrap-around hotel. It is very romantic and is very suitable for a resort like Venice.

Everything is OK. My wife and I only slept one night. The hotel is very nice, with few rooms, in a historic building, along an internal canal. Spacious room, very nice and clean. The quality of sleep is excellent. The service is kind and quick. Buffet breakfast, good and plentiful. In my opinion, the location is ideal, as it is only 15 minutes from the train station but very close to the San Rocco school, the Frari and Ca Foscari. Just 5 minutes away is the ferry stop on the grand canal. The surroundings are suggestive. The area is quiet.

We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and on an overdue return to Venice, decided to stay at Palazzo Madonna again after reading more recent reviews. The hotel is still as good as we remembered and though in a relatively quiet location, it is easy to visit all the sights, either by walking or catching the nearby vaporettos (lines 1 and 2). There are some excellent and not overpriced restaurants just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We stayed in a prestige room (no 6), which was on the ground floor, next to the breakfast area. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and had a private outside terrace, at the side of a central courtyard. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge amount of choice of both hot and cold items. It's an easy walk to the bus-station (about 15 minutes) to catch the airport bus - as long as you don't have too much luggage to carry over the handful of bridges that need to be crossed. If we visit Venice again. I'd happily return to this hotel.

The location was great, just a short work from the main attractions and easy to get to from the ferry dock, from the airport and other areas around Venice. There are also some lovely places to eat near by. The staff were really helpful, we went during the Carnevale so they were able to give us information about the events around venice. The room was cleaned regularly and toiletries were topped up as needed. Though there was an electric heater in the room, the only down side for me was that the room was cold in the evening and I wouldn't want to sleep with heater on over night. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel - 9/10

It is beautiful place away from the crowded area. The room is super nice, luxury, clean, beautiful with vintage decoration. The stuff is super friendly, they have Taxi to take us to Murano island. The breakfast is free and amazing! Lots of choices! Enjoyed the staying there! Will definitely recommend to my friends!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this hotel and the staff were above excellent, the rooms are amazing , it’s conveniently located ,the breakfast was amazing . Be sure and take the free tour of Murano glass factory! I can’t say enough good things about this place , highly recommended, will stay here again , 20 out of 10 stars!

This beautiful old Palazzetto is my home away from home. The wonderful staff always make me feel at home. The housekeeping is next level and the breakfast buffet is always delicious and generously served by happy friendly staff. I’ll be back :)

Gorgeous Hotel in a wonderful part of Venice just a few metres from the Grand Canal. Amazing staff and an excellent buffet breakfast to start your day.

Hotel was on the canal just like we wanted it, but we did not anticipate the traffic of the boats in and out in the morning, on us not the hotel. It was a great place to be able to walk from the train station, to St Marks Square and to the Rialto Bridge.

Great location close to the tourist sight but also in an area where you can find less real people, restaurants and bars, very nice staff, good breakfast and very comfortable room.Would book again

Such a gem in Venice! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone traveling to Venice. Our room was stunning and overlooked the courtyard. The perfect hotel for our days in Venice.

Service: Juliette at breakfast was amazing - so friendly & efficient! Reception was always manned and were friendly & helpful. We did however need to ask for robes and our Silver Benefits sparkling wine Location: We loved the location. I'd say it is in a quieter area - away from the main hubs (10 mins walk to Rialto and quickest way to St Marks is by river bus), but has some lovely restaurants on doorstep. Sa Toma water bus station is 2 mins walk away, which was a bonus. Breakfast: Excellent! So much choice and supply that I didn't need lunch most days! Room: We had a suite which was very clean and beautifully furnished. Only complaint for me was the shower was over the bathtub, and anyone over 6ft can't stand up straight. Also, I'd hoped the suite would have a more luxurious bathtub, however best described as functional. To/from airport: we ordered a shared water taxi, but were disappointed. Firstly we hadn't considered it would be dark - especially having had to wait 30 mins for others, and secondly one couple hogged the back seats and refused to have the sunroof open. It cost 35 euros each. For the return journey we used the airport waterbus - 'Aliliguna'. This was just like a bigger shared water taxi, and ran perfectly to schedule (every 15mins i think) and only took 40 mins from near Sa Toma (you need to pick up from one stop either side). 15 euros each and a better experience than the shared water taxi (considering expectations). It may be different on a summers day!
