I stayed here in 1999 while on a trip with my mother, and recently returned. You no longer pay half board and have dinner here, but the breakfast is great. I love the quiet location at the intersection of two waterways. We had a corner room and I enjoyed the antiques. The bed was firm but comfortable. It's a hotel that has been in the same family for generations, and it is well-maintained and the reception staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. I love the place.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, we thank you for taking some time to review us. We are extremely glad that we have succeeded to create some new memories for you after your trip in 1999. On further note, we are very happy to know that you loved our authentic Venetian style same as our strategic location in the city alongside the canal views from your room - we only hope we can welcome you sooner this time! On behalf of the whole Staff, we do wish you all the best. We remain available for any other information or request you may require. Best regards, Reception

Relatively quiet location. Very friendly staff. Room bit shabby and on small side but perfectly clean. Good views from higher floors. Typical buffet breakfast.

Great staff. I arrived early and could store my luggage. I was even offered to take a shower. Had a nice walk and could still checkin 2 hours early Great location in Dorsoduro overlooking the Guidecca channel. This is where the sunsets are! Close walk to everything, yet enough distance to the bug crowds

Excellent place outside the busiest tourist area with excellent connections. I enjoyed reaching the main locations with short walk or few stops by vaporetto. Room was simple but the view: My personal preference is Giudecca canal with its busy - professional - traffic beats the busy tourist boat crowd on Canal grande any day, so no gondolas but fire brigade, police, ambulances, car ferries for Lido…

The Pensione Seguso is a splendid, family-owned place to stay in Venice. It is traditional in the best sense. Bedrooms have fine old-fashioned furniture but they are equipped with air-conditioning and even two sizes of USB charging sockets. Housekeeping is of a very high standard - our room was kept spotless. The position on the Zattere is most attractive. The vaporetto and Alilaguna stops on the Zattere are a short walk away. There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We took the ever helpful Massimo's advice which turned out to be very reliable. We ate very well indeed. Oniga, Ai Gondolieri and Antica Locanda Montin deserve special mention. Just along the Zattere can be found Nico's ice cream - utterly delicious.

A charming old worldly pensione with very friendly and helpful owners and staff. In a great location for getting around Venice and water bus stop close by for airport and train station. We had a room with 5 windows overlooking the Guidecca and a side canal which was heavenly.

I loved my stay at Pensione Seguso! This is the perfect hotel to scape from the crowd of Grand Canal, but still have the feeling that you are in Venice. The 400 years old building along with the antique furniture and beautiful chandeliers will take you in a trip to the past. The fantastic views to the canals, and perfect location make this hotel a real gem. The staff was very friendly. Maximo was super nice and helpful when we were going out, he gave us recommendations for restaurants, advice to take the gondola ride. We would definitely stay at Pensione Seguso again!

I loved my stay at Pensione Seguso. It was our first time in Venice and I had an excellent experience. I chose this hotel because of the location, it is away from the crowds of the Grand Canal, but close enough for you to walk to the main interest points. The views still give you the feeling that you are in Venice. The 400 years old building, the antique furniture and decorations will bring you back to the past. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Maximo was a charm! He was very helpful and kind!

I can't begin to describe how wonderful this hotel is. I will never forget my stay. The Pensione Seguso must be Venice's best kept secret. This character filled hotel is a step back in time. Antique furniture, Murano chandeliers, decorative plaster work etc. Air conditioning and WiFi, crisp white linen bedding and the warmest, friendliest welcome. I will never forget Yvonne. She was so lovely. The buffet style breakfast was delicious. Hot fresh coffee in ornate coffee pots was the perfect start to my day. Location wise there is no where better. From our balcony windows we could see the canal and all the boats and river taxis. The beautiful sounds of church bells too. Old world charm. Romantic perfection. Never ever change Pensione Seguso. You are one in a million 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

By far and away the staff are Pensione Seguso’s greatest asset. Each staff member that I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and efficient. My room -with private bathroom- was very basic (no TV, fridge, or room safe) but pleasant nonetheless. The building’s location right on the water (and thus close to water taxi/ferry stations) and charming reception area do compensate for the room itself’s fairly no-frills nature.

My teenage sons and I had 3 lovely days at the Pensione. Its superb location on Venise’s southern bank (Zattere), with an open view towards the Giudecca, was a wonderful surprise. We would not have traded it for a four-star hotel on the (very busy, at times claustrophobic) Grand Canal! The hotel’s style and furniture may qualify as old fashioned, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and the genuiness that comes with it. The hotel belongs to a family, not to an anonymous chain, and it shows. Staff was adorable and helpful. Breakfast was okay. We enjoyed a spacious room for three on the 3d floor, with shared bathroom on the same floor. In sum, most perfect holidays were it not for the constant noise of the vaporetti motors: could they not go solar…?! This said, we will definitively be back!
