For only 100 RMB, I got a private room complete with toiletries and en suite bathroom. Everything is clean. The location is a walkable distance to Guilin Railway Station. I arrived at Guilin West and took the No. 22 bus and stopped at Nan Men Qian Nan. I walked 300 meters moving forward. Before the first crossing, turn right. Walk some more 200 meters or so and the hostel is located to the right next to food shops.
You might get confused though if you booked this in English. The name that appears on Trip.com is Guilin Guanghu Inn while in Agoda it is Travel Light Guilin. The hostel's building has the Guanghu Inn in Chinese characters and then Travel Light written in English. So yes, it's one and the same.
The hostel is only a few minutes away to the two rivers and four lakes. It only costed me 9 RMB via Didi (like a Grab or Uber app).
The reception serves good coffee too! Basic breakfast of two eggs, three slices of bacon, two pieces of toast, and a cup of coffee is pegged at 28 RMB.
The best part? Jerry and Jennifer! They are so delightful to speak with because they always are open to help out with that signature courteous and friendly manner.
It was my first time in Guilin. I have a feeling I will visit again because of Guilin Guanghu Inn/Travel Light Hostel.
