I was walking some of the Fens River Walk. The old school house provided everything you want from a B and B. Good clean rooms, a comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast and all for a reasonable price.

What a great little gem of a place. Awesome service from such genuine people. The decoration and layout was fantastic. Amazing breakfast freshly made to order. The rooms had everything you need. We can't recommend this place highly enough if you need a good place to stay near Cambridge

When we first arrived we noticed how spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The Room was a good size with tasteful decor. Great little touches include USB sockets, quality toiletries, and large, cozy beds. The Breakfast had a great choice and Nicky cooked a delicious Eggs Royal for Me and a Cooked English Breakfast for my Partner. These were generous portions using high-quality ingredients. Situated peacefully location next to the village green, it offers a tranquil retreat Definitely return again 10/10 Outstanding xx

We wanted to be near, but not in, Cambridge. This B&B was chosen after reading positive reviews. We were not disappointed. Good breakfasts. Lovely clean, nicely decorated rooms. Friendly, welcoming owner and daughter. Reasonable pricing. Quiet location with off street parking. We would certainly recommend.

What more can I say. I've already been there 6-7 times which means it's Great. If I'm staying in the area this is my number one choice. xx

Far and away the best b&b experience I have ever enjoyed (and I've travelled very widely) And such great value, too! If you're visiting Cambridge (a v short bus or train trip away), THIS is the place to stay. I unreservedly recommend. Enjoy!

About as perfect as a B&B can get. Small, secluded, gorgeous location (on a village green with 2 nice pubs on it!), car park is around the back and easy, also - easy check-in (self check in is lovely after a hard day's work), then you start to notice the little touches - breakfast forms to order for the next morning (the full English breakfast was gorgeous BTW), the shower head turned slightly sideways so you can test the temperature before getting in, the towels are huge and plenty fluffy, everything flawlessly clean, so many kinds of tea in the room (camomile? yay!), a TV which works (you'd be surprised...), nice pillows, a good solid mattress, lot of USB charging points, nice oraganery area to relax in, the rooms are plenty spacious... This is a great little place, and the guys running it are clearly on the top of their game. Recommended!

What a find! Last minute booking and the hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating. Lovely clean rooms, furnished to very high standards. Great shower-room. We had already contacted wonderful sleep! All needs catered for - it was a hot spell and a there was a very good fan in situ. Breakfast was excellent and home-cooked to order. Great location in an attractive village. Super friendly and welcoming hosts.

Lisa and her other half are fabulous hosts, friendly and very welcoming. 5 star breakfasts on each of the 3 mornings we were there. Bit of an inconvenience not being able to access our room after following the instructions we received by text to do this, but Lisa was quick to resolve. Not many coat hangers in room - perhaps more suitable for one night stays. Easy access to Cambridge, Ely etc by train (train station around 10 minutes walk away) and trains roughly every 30 minutes. Struggled to find much of interest within walking distance. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Well located, safe off street parking, spotlessly clean, lovely soft towels, comfy bed and a great breakfast with quality ingredients. Several local pubs within walking distance. A really friendly feel. Can’t fault this place. Will be back.

Lisa and Phil run an amazing B&B. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble both for Lisa. Both Phil and Lisa do whatever they can to make your stay pleasurable and memorable. We felt like friends, not just guests. Excellent location for Cambridge. Nicely situated in central Waterbeach. We were travelling from Australia, visiting friends, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10 out of 10.

We had to visit Waterbeach recently to attend a memorial service so we booked a 2 night stay at The Old School House. The whole experience was excellent with great hosts Lisa and Phill. Our room was well presented with a large shower. The breakfasts were the best we had ever had in any hotel or B&B everything freshly cooked. We will definitely visiting again especially being near the historic city of Ely.

Perfection! Comfortable bed,clean, good size shower, warm. Residents’ lounge with microwave and crockery provided. Wine glasses available. Breakfast ordered the night before, cooked to order. Very quiet. Free parking. Will be back!
