Best Four Star Hotels in West Mackay

Great place to stay with friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast is free and you can take it to your room on arrival from the front desk. The restaurant at the bowls club is one of the best places to dine.

Have stayed at Coral Cay resort motel before and this last week for a three day business trip was not different. Great spot it is , staff were good , restaurant was good and rooms a good size and configuration with a TV for the sleeping area and a TV in the lounge room. Good computer work bench and undercover parking as well. Tariff was fair for the time of year and mid week. No complaints and is my number one stay over location in Mackay

What a Horrible Place! From the time you book in and enter your room, it sends shudders down your spine as you are entering the 1990's. The place is so old and run down it's not funny. I used to stay here in the late 90's and found it warm, comfortable and clean, but nothing could be more further from reality. Nothing has been spent of this property since then or that's what it looks like. Restaurant closed due to covid? Thought Covid issues stopped 12-18 mths ago. Advertised Breakfast, no such luck. Owner advised to go across the road to pub. Rooms - Oh dear! I really don't know what to say other than Keep Clear! Couldn't even have a coffee as they didn't supply any milk, tried calling reception and visited reception, but doesn't open until 10am!!! The towels supplied also looked like they were used since the 90's as they were thin, rough on your skin and scraggly. These was even a wet towel left behind the door. Shower only had enough pressue to trickle out & when someone else turned their water off, you only got extra hot water not pressure. Great when your rinsing your hair & water turns hot. Soap holder broken off and laying on shower floor. I now understand why most other Motels along this ***** were booked out & this one had plenty of vacancies. Never Again! Only reasonable point, the bed was comfortable.

Very comfortable King size bed, with beautiful quality linen. Armchairs in the room were a welcome addition so I could talk with family in comfortable seating rather than propped up on the bed. Aircon worked well and quietly as well as having overhead fan option which gives flexibility for different preferences. Reception staff are very welcoming and most helpful with my needs and attended to them promptly. Highly recommended and the best pick of all the Mackay central accommodations in my opinion.

Rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and quiet! Everything you want when you're away from home. Check-in and check out was easy with the lovely staff. We are frequent visitors to Mackay and will happily choose to stay at the Mackay Resort Motel again.

Alara motor inn was such a lovely place to stop. My two dogs loved their time there. The reception staff and owners were absolutely amazing and accommodating- I’ve never seen an owner step up and help the customers quite like this! The pet friendly room was comfortable and roomy and my dogs were welcomed like paying guests. Don’t forget to stop in to Jimmy D’s for a delicious meal- my steak was cooked to perfection and the veggies were nice and fresh- just perfect! And the service was impeccable! Extremely affordable and welcoming. I can’t rate Alara enough!! The whole team made a long journey feel like a holiday!

Beautiful and beautiful

Nice and clean room. Comfortable bed to sleep. However it was close to airport so you can hear the noise when the flights are around but it won't be any of night so don't worry about when you sleeping. Nice place to stay if I got chance would be visit again. BTW when I booking from trip.com the staff said they didn't receive my information from the website but they solved at the end so no drama at all. So I will recommend you guys if you booking for this please make a call after booking to confirm to avoid any incident.
