Whistler Peak Lodge

Overall the hotel was great. The room was the perfect size for a couple. We had great view of the mountain. The bath was very relaxing after a day out in the village. All amenities were great. We received early check in due to room being ready which was a positive. The only negative is you can hear everything outside of your room from people out in the street to someone walking up and down the hallway.

This was an incredibly convenient location in Whistler village. It was close to the gondolas, shops, and restaurants. The condo/suites were very functional for a ski vacation with a good kitchen. Unfortunately it was a little noisy at night given the location. Also the hot tub was not the most appealing one around.

Stayed last September, and got a relative bargain through ***********. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable and had a kitchen plus dryer and washer as well. Bathroom was fine except there were slight issue with the bathroom tap handle being loose and there was difficulty controlling water temperature and flow. It should be noted, there is no regular housekeeping and they only change towels once every three days or so. Another issue was parking was extremely expensive at about $ 30 per day which is steep considering most people come by car and public transportation to and from Vancouver is next to non-existent. A thing to note is cancellation policy as well, because of the lower rates, the best cancellation you can hope for is 7 days without a penalty. This could become problematic in winter if road conditions or closures could force cancellations or late arrivals. If you do cancel, the penalties could be substantial. In all it was a good stay and experience but watch out for extra charges and that reasonable stay could become expensive namely parking.

We were looking for an affordable place to stay in Whistler and choose this hotel for our two nights stay. Before arriving the communication with the lodge was excellent as they gave us a lot of information in advance. I asked if we could have an early check in and we got a message telling us that our room was ready for us. The room was quite small but the bed was comfy and everything was spotless clean. There is also a small kitchette in the room which we found convenient to prepare breakfast. The best thing about this lodge is the location - it is right next to the center with all the restaurants, bars and shops and it is within easy walking distance to the gondola. If you don't mind a small room we can recommend this lodge.

We didn't use the hot tub (mediocre from other reports) but rather took long hot showers (or baths -- equipped with rudimentary jacuzzi jets). On our last day, there was minimal hot water - a problem which seems to have affected others in the past. We took leukwarm showers. I did not think this was acceptable and asked for a refund of one night's stay (would pay for 6 of 7). I was accommodated with $57 USD, which accounted for the fraction of the day that the water was out (about 4-6 hours, from around 1pm - 7pm). Next time we will need to schedule our showers more strategically or otherwise cope with accommodations that cannot even provide the most basic service. Other than this, I concur with other reviews. Terrific location. Room is no frills, but covers all the basics well (with the exception of the above).

Close to the action without the noise. Room was well appointed. Reception were happy to store luggage prior to check in. Storing ski gear was good, however due to the design of the apartments in different buildings, a little convoluted to / fro. Personally, I should have selected a room with a washing machine as there wasn’t a laundromat within the village.

I was arriving early in Whistler and check in time is 4pm. The confirmation email said I could leave my luggage with front desk staff (which is a standard procedure for hotels) but reception refused to keep my luggage so I had to drag a heavy suitcase to the other end of the village and pay a locker. Not impressed at all. My room had an adjoining door and I could hear any noise coming from the next door room. Location is good and bed is comfortable.

Room for 3, two towels, plenty of cooking utensils. Uncomfortable fold out bed. First day showers were fine, second day nothing but Luke warm. Whistler is a beautiful place. Too expensive for all the inconveniences.
