Sunday lunch - the best roast I’ve had in a long time. Beautifully prepared, decent portion and really pleasant surroundings. Keen to return and try their dinner menu. Puddings looked appetising. Plenty of car parking which is handy as the village can be busy.

We have just been for Valentines night and the food was really exceptional. Honestly It was soooo good and so beautifully presented. You need to try the food here as it is a little gem. Thankyou so much we had a wonderful Valentines evening. I can’t recommend enough

Just enjoyed a great meal at The Coachman.. Decided on spec to pop out for a bite to eat. Phoned and managed to get a table early evening. Great pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord before going to the table. Warm bread & Garlic bread as Nibbles - the Pumpernickel bread supplied by The Bread Factory in Manchester was sublime. The Coachman Burger and the Steak Pie were great as we're the Treacle Tart & Panacotta. The young staff were superb, attentive and professional making the whole experience really great, lovely to see the pub busy with a great buzz. Well done all, great food, great staff, great beer and wine & great value.

stayed Saturday 9th December from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome Petra checked us in and showed us to our room, it was lovely clean and warm we had a meal there and it was fantastic Harvey nice jacket and tie !! lol made us feel welcome as well and the owners were nice as well shame about the weather and the Christmas Market had to pack up early but managed to buy a couple of things we will visit again Steve and Michele from Bedfordshire

A large group of us went for dinner this evening. As it was the Christmas menu we wondered what it was going to like. We needn’t have been concerned. The team was well organised, the food was excellent and served on hot plates ( a rarity these days) the staff were efficient and friendly and even the chef ( who did a great job) came in to check everything was ok. It was very busy with Christmas revellers and I take my hat off to all of them for the level of service . I couldn’t fault it and look forward to returning soon Thank you all.

The food we had this evening 15/11/2023 was superb. Definitely a cut above your usual pub food. Lovey friendly service. Presentation was stunning. All food came out at the same time for all 7 of us in the group. And hot. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Went out for Sunday dinner, with family including a 4 yr old, the place had great atmosphere, the food was amazing and the service we received from Will and Charlotte was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Normally when I have written reviews it's the food that seems to be a let down. On this occasion it wasn't. The roasts we had on the 8th Ocober were actually pretty good compared to what we normally have out and it was nice to have veg that wasn't overcooked. However we booked a table in advance and walked in and there seems no proceedure to welcome anybody. We stood near the bar presuming we needed to speak to bar staff. Whilst there, a chap from the customer side of the bar said "Are we ok" we said yes and he said have you booked.? We weren't really expecting someone who didn't look like a member of staff to deal with us.! Shown to our table in a consevatory type area. It was a smallish table and unfortunately it all looked a bit scruffy.... mix and match chairs that in the right setting can look quite attractive. The gents toilets were filty and the whole place feels like it has a lack of direction and needs some enthusiam, interest and actually it a bit of love. When we have good food we tend to return but it's probably unlikely until something changes. Its a shame really as we live locally.

Visited here on the way home .. should have kept driving. Menu states chicken bites but came out just basically chicken nuggets! Ordered meal for four people received two meals and was told the other two were on the way. 15 minutes later, the other two meals finally arrived, no apology just placed down and off she went. I didn't enjoy my meal so said to the waitress she could take mine away. Not even a question asked as to why I have left my whole plate! Very bad service No check back, Food was edible, maybe just a bad time we visited as it was the afternoon but it's no excuse for poor service!
