Didn't see a single foreigner when I stayed here for over a week. Front desk is run by transient volunteers, so you may or may not have an English speaker (probably not). This place is pretty good. Nice common room and outside porch area. The dorms have their own bathroom which is nice. Location is really good. It's easy to walk to the riverside and a bunch of different food options/stores. A metro station (line 5) is about a 10 minute walk. For the price, I'd recommend this place. Just bring earplugs.

It wasn't international at all, staff only spoke Mandarin. Rooms were crowded, but you get what you pay for. Beds were spacious and comfortable.
Location was great, metro station is just 8 min away walking and Yellow Crane Tower 15 min.

The services was great. No-one of the staff is speaking English, but they were very helpful and they showed a lot of patience trying to understand me.

We are not. It's a shame because the property has potential. Dirty everywhere. Common area totally in disarray. The room had a musty smell, an impractical bathroom, a musty and damp smell. Unhealthy.
The biggest problem is that people who practically live there are staying there. They work and come home late, making noise, starting to wash their laundry in the sink at midnight. Without respect for other guests.
I think the hostel needs to decide what type of structure it wants to be.
The location is great. The price too, but despite the price the experience was not positive.
Positive note: Hermione at reception, very kind and speaks English. Very nice and helpful
