Regarding location - yes, there are no restaurants around and we took our car 5 minutes to reach various restaurants. But this is not disturbing - the location is not big and but is growing. For us was the location convenient -＞ arriving by car, go to Chaka Lake and continue the tour. The hotel team is very helpful - English is limited. We saw a very efficient and quick check in. The room itself was very clean - Family room. Next door to the reception hall is a small supermarket with all things you might need during a tour. The breakfast itself was without any western part - but very good Chinese food. We missed coffee and tea but we survived 🤗. The Salt Lake is a 10 minutes drive away (tourist main entrance). We would stay again here.

The environment is very good, a small wooden house with a large bed, behind the salt lake and snowy mountains, the scenery is super beautiful, and you can see the little rabbits in the morning. The hotel is very close to the Salt Lake Scenic Area. It is only a couple of kilometers away from the door to turn right. It is also very convenient to eat and drink nearby. Wow! Wow! Wow! We had an AMAZING stay at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. The room is very clean and the bed is soo comfy. We enjoyed looking at the stars through the glass roof. The views are also incredible! The bar/communal area is a great place to relax in the evening and they served breakfast (included in the price) in the morning. The coffee is excellent! Alex, the owner was incredibly helpful, before and during our trip. He provided travel information and the grandfather took us to the bus station on the day we left. The only minor downside is it’s location. We struggled to get to Chaka lake as we didn’t have a car. There are no Didi’s and with our very poor mandarin, it was quite tricky. We ended up walking along the main road to the tourist information centre and getting the bus to the lake from there. It was fine for 2 adults, but I wouldn’t have done it with children. However, if you have a car and/or can speak mandarin, I’m sure this is easily avoidable! Overall, an excellent stay and would recommend to a friend.

The Chaka Evening Hotel is new and all facilities are in very good conditions. The hotel is located in a new commerce area in Chaka which has the clear ambition to develop more business. However, there is not much around this area and most fields are empty or under construction. Chaka Lake is a beautiful spot but the city is not so attractive. So also the hotel is not having any good spots around it. We also took the dinner in the hotel. The breakfast is okay but typical Chinese but they didn’t provided hot water for tea or a coffee. The staff is friendly and they provided extra heater and humidifiers for the cold nights. Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you stay in Chaka to recharge your batteries but it’s also good to move on after the stay.

Good location. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful but did not always have accurate information about transport to Chaka Lake or transport out of Chaka. The bathroom was not the most clean but the room was comfortable overall.
